Notsogood Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 Does anyone know if HyperSpin will be available for the Raspberry Pi 2 anytime? It's would change a lot!
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 I got it streamed to the Pi2 but I doubt it would come to be honest. There's an Android version but no Pi. Simply Austin's YouTube
Notsogood Posted February 28, 2016 Author Posted February 28, 2016 Oke I see and I saw that you can stream indeed. Well not what I hope to see, but it's fine
ashmck73 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Shame - would be fantastic if it came to the Raspberry Pi. There's 2 main options already for the Pi regards emulating but another one would be nice. ---------------------------------- Regards, Ashley, the curator @ www.raspberryretro.com ----------------------------------
dougan78 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Best hope imho is hoping android gets ported to rpi3.
Agrajag Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Someone mentioned recently that Attract Mode can use HS themes. I see there's a Pi build but don't know if it can do the same. Anybody tested this? Too busy to try it myself right now. HyperSpin behaving oddly? Read about known bugs here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/4590-known-bugs-and-handy-hints-for-hyperspin/ The installer for HyperSpin now includes HyperLaunch 2. dougan78 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Odroid devices are like 5 bucks more and support android. That may be an option.
DJQuad Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I use RetroPie - http://blog.petrockblock.com/retropie
Guest Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Recalbox is also well worth a look in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DJQuad Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Has anyone worked the Windows 10 IoT core? I'm wondering if this can be an alternative - instead of wishing for HyperSpin to be on Raspberry Pi.
dougan78 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Based on what I know of iot it wont have all the windows stuff to do hs let alone emulation.
progets Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 HyperSpin in my favorite frontend and can do so much more then will ever happen on a Pi. There have been some great new improvements on other frontends that can use HyperSpin themes or have HyperSpin like themes that will run on the Pi. If you're set on a Pi check out http://forum.attractmode.org/index.php?topic=705.0 . It has a HyperSpin like theme and can run HyperSpin themes. Don't expect the HyperSpin themes to run 100% but a lot work pretty well. If you have a HyperSpin build you can use many parts of it on the Pi such as basic themes, wheels, videos (if not too high resolution), database imports, etc. If you don't have a good/full HyperSpin build you'll be better off with one of the HyperSpin type clone themes (layouts) on the Pi. If you want the best frontend, HyperSpin is by far the best. If you want super cheap hardware or small and portable then there are other options.
