SkyHighGam3r Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I used this for a while when I first started setting up hyperspin. It would have been one of the best controllers for me, but it never kept a signal. It constantly dropped in the middle of play. I think I may have posted on here about it. For MS-DOS it was perfect, all i had to map was action buttons, and still had full keyboard commands right there. I wish someone/a company could hack it to use a bluetooth signal and put a NES d-pad on it lol. Then it really would be something worthwhile. But as of now, it sits in the closet. I saw somewhere, some months ago, that someone had figured out how to get the keyboard attachment for an X360 controller to function. Might be a good alternative... I was looking at it back when I had the Atari Jaguar in my system. I dropped that system and forgot about it though...

Or there's the official keyboard thingy chatpad ..........................back with a vengeance........................
damageinc86 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 The nice thing about that full keyboard was that it had all F keys and shifts, ctrl, etc. which made it very seamless for DOS gaming.
Awakened Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Does that apply when trying to use something like Xpadder? Or just through native support? Yes, it applies to Xpadder, AntiMicro, ect. since the paddles don't show up as extra buttons in Windows. You can only change their mapping in the Win10 Xbox Accessories app to copy different controller inputs (face buttons, stick click-ins, bumpers, triggers and D-Pad directions).
Avar Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 There's also the Logitech PS2 keyboard controller that's a full sized keyboard married to a PS2 controller.

Well that's stupid lol. That's 150$ I don't ever need to spend though XD
Pyramid_Head Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 Xbox controllers are great, until you want to use the d-pad If you've ever used controllers on consoles and think about what you're favorite is, get the newest iteration of that. No idea about the Steam controller though The Xbox One controller d-pad is pretty good. Same with the Xbox 360 Chrome edition controller d-pad which are basically the same.
damageinc86 Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I tried that logitech ps2 controller thinking it would be nice. It really felt uncomfortable. The sticks felt too far away from my thumbs, it was always a bit of a reach. The nice thing about a controllor with a mini keyboard is that you can reach the keys also almost like you were texting.
