Hi newoski

Problem I am having now is very strange all my eight buttons  for P1/2 will light up normally when computer start once. But after I launched HS & start a game in mame all my buttons will go off light, except 3 buttons in P1 will light up and 2 buttons in P2 this happen to all games and these buttons are not functioning in the game so should not light up.  Don't know why these sets same buttons will light up and rest all goes off. Very strange.

Setting in Ledblinky and Rocketblinky matches the same. I am using default mame settings by andy
So I cant figure out where is the problem.

i could help you out, it has to with ledblinky's config file for input... if you dont setup the correct syntax for each button you will run into that issues,

nothing related to rocketblinky

Thank you friends,

Iedblinkyinput file I have set all the buttons with RGB per buttons and single led.

One thing confusing me is should I use joycode or keycode if my encoder is ipac ultimate with default mame setting?

Now I am on keycodes for all buttons input.

I have xpadder but no profiles and not using it now dont know why buttons light up wrong.

use both, but use joycode first before keycode

I have changed all from Keycode to Joycode P1B1 to B8 and P2B1 to B8 , P4B1 to B4 is for left and right pinball . Same with Rocketblinky and than replaced the xml file into ledblinky folder. But still the same. I am surprised because it is working for everyone and it is not difficult so I can't understand where the problem.

Maybe you can send me your control.INI and color.INI is this the same came with ledblinky?

i would try to disable light up frontend buttons... that might be causing problems

Thanks Bro, But this will be a temporarily solution because if arzoo added this option in GUI means we can use it and should not be any problem unless others reported with a bug in this. Now I am launching direct from RL but have this problem too sometime. God knows what's is wrong haha

the reason why i suggested it because the frontend buttons are not setup in ledblinky, colors and keys assignment are not done.. rocketblinky doesnt setup that part either... just so you are aware

Have you defined your front-end button layout in LEDBlinky, as described in the RocketBlinky instructions?

Thank you so much bro, without you I will not success. Finally I have solved the lighting problems after setting the following

Define either a FE Active Animation within LEDBlinkyConfig.exe or add your preferred Colors to the HyperSpin Front-End Controls layout

  • To define a FE Active Animation, run LEDBlinkyConfig.exe, click on the FE Options tab, and choose an FE Active Animation from the dropdown.

Next I will try to learn and set the lights for other systems under MAME such as capcom , zinc ,etc.

Any system that uses MAME is already programmed via RocketBlinky -- LEDBlinky just needs to know that it is a MAME system. There are two ways you can do this. The bad way is to add "MAME" before or after every system name that uses MAME. For example "CAVE MAME". That's the bad way.

The better way is cleaner. Just follow the steps below:

1. Select system in RocketLauncher, for example CAVE

2. Settings -> Main Settings -> LEDBlinky -> System Name

3. Add MAME to this empty field

By adding MAME, this tells RocketLauncher to send LEDBLinky "MAME" as the system name, instead of whatever the real system name is (CAVE) for example.

Once you set this up for all your systems that use MAME, they will light correctly, automatically by leveraging the data populated by RocketBlinky into your LEDBlinkyControls.xml.

I award myself 1 out of 10 points for a clear explanation, but I wanted to get a reply up, since you're so close. I'll try to clean this reply up later for future readers

Thank you so much I prefer option 2 will be best and again I have learned something new from you. Will try this tonight.

Which systems? You can look at the LEDBlinkyControls.xml to see if they are supposed to light up or not, based on the data defined. Let me know which systems and I can report back if that is by design...

Hi newoski , is taito type X, X2, X+ not been added?

Taito Type X has. The others, I don't believe so. Taito is a mess. The databases are broken up, but people are still using a combination of a Taito Type X and the Arcade PC stuff. Once that settles, I'll tackle
