I have done above setting name added MAME to those systems. Some of the systems like Namco Classis , Taito Classics wont lit up at all. Anything I am doing wrong?

 

Not all games are programmed in MAME LEDBlinky includes those from the MAME colors.ini, controls.ini, and listxml.xml by default. I've added a ton, via RocketBlinky, but there are still a lot left to add. My latest update, which should be published this week, adds even more.

So ordered an I-PAC Ultimate I/O and 26 RGB LEDs buttons from Andy. Should be here next week. Planning on setting layout like my Xtension 2 player emulation controller. That way both system laid out the same and easier to sync changes between systems.

Anyways this program looks great! I have a lot of wheels now setup and hope this will make easier to get colors and buttons right.

Rocketblinky still version 1.0 or you release a newer one yet?

I have a question.  So I added my NEO GEO games under SNK Neo Geo from default install of HS.  All the games are in MAME roms folder.  I have RL pointed to that using MAME for Emu.  When I launch them RocketBlinky not showing buttons.  If I find them in the MAME cat it works fine.  What am I missing here?

Sounds like you don't have RocketLauncher's LEDBlinky integration setup properly:

 

1. Global -> Main Settings -> LEDBlinky -> Enabled --> All

 

2. For each system that uses MAME, but has a different system name (CAVE, SNK NEO GEO etc), you need to define a custom LEDBlinky System Name so that LEDBlinky receives the proper command line arguments

- Select system in RocketLauncher, for example CAVE

- Settings -> Main Settings -> LEDBlinky -> System Name

- Add MAME to this empty field

 

Once you follow those steps, instead of sending "LEDBlinky.exe '2020bb' 'SNK Neo Geo'" for example, it will send "LEDBlinky.exe '2020bb' 'MAME'" and the controls will light properly

Still not working.  All I get is 8 way joystick spoken and not lighted up.  I am messing with SNK Neo Geo Metal Slug 3.  So I know what it should look like when loaded from MAME.

Found issue.  I had Global -> Main Settings -> LEDBlinky -> Enabled --> TRUE not ALL.

 

 

Interesting that it now works but soon as start a game speaks 8 way joystick.  The I have it say Arcade online then tell controls.  Then after says 8 way joystick again.

That's an LEDBlinky setting issue. Or it could be a bug from the newest mamelist.xml incompatibility. Make sure you're using the latest version of LEDBlinky. If not, update, and then test and report back.

Running LEDBlinky_6_3_0_0 so guessing LEDBlinky issue.  Not a big deal just strange.

newoski​ so today messing with few more systems trying to get the setup.  I noticed 2 working on now Sony PS1 and Sega 32X when starts showing controls and talking them that only joystick for player 1 is lit up.  What might that be?

Problems solved. Mismatches in rmilyards LEDBlinkyInputMap, MAME, and RocketBlinky configuration were the root cause. Always make sure these 3 match when setting up RocketBlinky

I've got a couple issues I was wondering if anyone has encountered and could offer up some work-arounds:

1) For Fusion (all my Sega console systems), all 6 control buttons light up but the LED's brightness is cranked way down - it's like at 50% brightness level. The lights are all "white". Is this a setting I can adjust so it is at full brightness like every other system?

2) I can't get my joystick LED's to light up with MAME - I mapped them in LED Blinky, but as RocketBlinky has "up down left right" for the joystick positioning, is this what could be causing the issue? 

3) The trackball isn't lighting up with MAME either when using RocketBlinky - but it is mapped in LED Blinky. 

 

Can anyone help me out?

Hey,

I'll be happy to help. Easiest would be PMing me your TeamViewer info. I'll be out of town tomorrow night though Thursday, but we should be able to sort out your problems.

The Sega brightness is actually due to those buttons being Black. As such, they do light up at about 50%. If you don't like they way they look, you can edit your LEDBlinky colors so that Black lights full White. Problem solved.

I can walk you through that and we can take a look at the others -- the joysticks and trackball are likely the same single problem since I'm guessing they use the same directionals...

Thanks! I PM'd you my TeamViewer info. I fixed the genesis button brightness as you described above (boosted BLACK to 48,48,48 in LED RGB Colors.ini.)

need help..
in  ´hyperspin the leds are not corect..example playstation is blue red green and yellow
but my leds blink purple green an white white

Just getting ledblinky started now and planned on using rocketblinky for hyperspin, I only mapped keycodes, accourding to this I would need to go bake and add all the matching joycodes??  so for p1start I would need my keycode and joycode_1_START, and for admin would I do anything? also seen somewhere reading about there being a problem with using P for pause?? heres a quick pic of what I have so you can see it

Wait until you are ready to actually test. At that post point, I can log in and help. It would be really confusing, without controls to test. If you plan to use keyboard and joycodes, it's probably best to nap to keycodes in Rocket blinky

You just need to make sure your MAME inputs match whatever you map in Rocket Binky. I'll explain via TeamViewer when you're ready
