Sync remote Dropbox folder

Hi...

now with RL i need sync the remote dropbox folder manually through browser, i find the right file or module and click save every time...

it's any other fast way like ftp client?

install dropbox on your computer. add the folder to the ones othat you have listed on it, and the dropbox program will automatically update all files whenever a change is made.

OK...sorry but tell me if it's right....

- Install dropbox DONE

- login with my account DONE

- copy all my local file, looking the same RL remote structure in my pc folder (wait to green icon) DONE

- connect to browser to RL dropbox and login with my account DONE

now how sync the remote with my local? i need press the download button? and after i need drag to my dropbox folder to local RL and overwrite all?

If you are logged to dropbox, it will appear in the top left part of your browser some option with something like "add to my dropbox" written.

now after finish to upload files i try to "add to my dropbox"...and i see whats happen!

Ok find a best solution...the name it's SyncToy and it's a windows certificated software (downloadable under Windows website)

- download dropbox software and link a new folder

- "upload from my dropbox" to RL dropbox folder (wait local folder download)

- after you download the folder link whit SyncToy and decide what files/folder you can sync (a lot of filter available, you create a work-batch), after press RUN

NB you can see a preview before overwrite or create new files!

just be carefull to not overwrite any ini files because they have your settings, on both Modules and settings folders.

Yes this it's the right question...i've localized the right folder but i've dubt about extension...

In this software it's possible exclude some extension...now i've removed the ini files from all folders!

Very powerful but need right settings!

AFAIK There isn't a way to sync djvj's dropbox of Hyperlaunch to my PC. for example.... I put dropbox on my PC and goto the page of HIS dropbox and click the "Add to my dropbox" it will then copy the entire Hyperlaunch folders to MY dropbox ONCE. Then it will sync all those files to my PC. So to get any changes I have to daily goto that dropbox of Hyperlaunch and manually add to my dropbox EVERYTHING again.... See where I am getting at?

This method it's good if:

- you do not want search around the forum the last 3d of updating

- you do not want update daily the Hyperlaunch folder (but one times at week for example)

- 2 click for update (sync to my dropbox, SyncToy)

the only cont are:

- right setting of the overwrite parameters (the *.ini, don't be updated, and if you know other file extension)

- preview button before overwrite in SYNCTOY (the first time)

If you want try this update system and create a personalized settings with SyncToy , for the folder and extension who doesn't need update; i think it's the best automated update system for the moment...
