Seems the only good thing that came out of this is that it got Circo out of his cave :P

I'm still stupefied at the events over the last couple of days here. Really WTF is going on lately?

I didn't even read the whole thread before posts started being deleted nor do I have any interest on doing so, but I think everybody (in this case Rain and matted) is overreacting and hope both of you come to your senses and back off on your decisions. Yeah a rewind button would come handy now. There has always been some more heated discussions around here every now and then, but every time (or almost) we were able to sort things out in a civil manner so I hope this is still possible. I don't want to go into an argument of who is right or wrong in this, but with 2 of the main contributors quitting there's only one at loss : The HS community.

We don't need to be all best friends of each other, this is normal we will always be closer to some members than others and we will definitely disagree with some things at one point or another and to me it's fine to say so when you don't agree with something as long as things don't get out of control. So things got heated, you both said some things that probably shouldn't have said, but quitting because of that sounds like a huge overreaction. I doubt any of you would be able to stay away for more than a couple of months anyway we have seen it before :)

I agree, everyone head to respective corners and cool off. Brolly your right I have been in a cave but I emerge with another 1400 video snaps done. I have some announcements to do. New Nes, Snes and 50% of PSX done on my little break. :)

I mostly have been on a forum vacation :)

I never announced it, I was not aware of psx fills but we started on a 100% from scratch set. I just checked the total and we are up to over 700 actually. I have 4 ppl working on it.

Thank you Matt. I am of the strong opinion that pm's are the way to handle any disputes on a forum and avoid soiling the public facing posts. I sincerely hope you guys can come to a peaceful resolution and let this dust settle.

Guys, I've been an infrequent poster (lurker?) but a "member" of the community for quite a while. You both have been such great contributors to this project and to the community for a long time. You've both provided leadership in your respective areas and that has helped to move this project forward in a good, positive way. People have disagreements every day in many parts of their lives (family, work, friends, marriages/relationships, etc) but most times these things get worked out or are left that people "agree to disagree" on the topic. When we just dig our heels in and don't try to understand that disagreements within a community/family are going to happen - we'll end up in the mess the U.S. government finds itself in :)

I know I'm no one on this board, but wanted to reiterate what others have said - please try and let cooler heads prevail and chalk it up to a disagreement between family. It seems a shame to let something so seemingly minor blow up to this level where everyone will lose...especially the community as we will lose two leaders that have kept HS kick-ass over the years. You are both such important contributors to this community, nobody wants either of you to leave...let alone both of you.

@Rain: Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope all is OK now...Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Thanks for everything Rain, many folks here (including me) will be missing you. I wish you the best ! Hyperspin wouldn't be the same without you, we gladly thank you for all your amazing work during all these years. This is a sad day, but your life is the most important !
