Hey guys, just a quick one really. I want to plan out my control panel before I start my first build.

I'd like to sketch it out on the PC first to check I'm happy with button positions etc..

What program to people use to draw the template to scale? Some kind of 2D cad prog?

I want to set up a document the correct size and position correct size elements etc on it....

Any help appreciated?

Ta,

Paul

Hmm, I'd personally dust off SolidWorks. I used to use it when I attempted to study at university. Can draw up everything 3D with exact measures and let it spit out a workplace drawing with exact specifications. The program is used for industrial parts. I wouldn't advice buying it just for this though as it is expensive as heck. Or look for a free student license, they're out there....

There are some designs to start with on Google sketch up. I am illiterate when it comes to any sort of graphic programs. I used cardboard and printouts of templates for buttons, spinners, etc. Old school but worked for me.
