Gears of War: Arcade Edition Cabinet

Hi there! icon_razz.gif
I want to share with you guys my Project of Arcade Cabinet (at this time it's not in 100% done). Made from sketch to the finished project entirely by me.

The project wouldn't exist if I hadn't seen CoinOPS Vision in action, who encouraged me to build arcade machine based on the Xbox and ofcourse CoinOPS Emulator.

I think you like it!

What to do:
- mount stickers on bezel

Feel free to leave comments in posts below.

But first take a look on pictures from my project called XboxArcade Cabinet. Full gallery you can find at this linkhttps://goo.gl/photos/uEQdQ7GBigTjVCbh7

I don't have any dimensions, but if you like I can get it for ya :) I build it bassed only on picture which I found on the web:

Mortal%20Kombat%20Upright%20Left.jpg Mortal%20Kombat%20Upright%20Right.jpg

Mortal Kombat design looks nice, but I want to build something in hardcore look, so I decided to use Gears of War Theme for my Cab :P

Two things left to do:

- sticker for bezel

- change background for control panel

- mount coin door with mech

Actually based on Original Xbox, but in a few days I want to put inside upgraded original Xbox which had 1.4Ghz 128MB RAM and 500GB HDD and powerfull PC with hyperspin (for games from other consoles).

In near future I put picuters in better quality :P

How did you get the arcade controls to work on the xbox. I've been trying to figure this out for a while

Looks like they might be Ultrastick 360's... Joysticks that works as everything: 2-way, 4-way, diagonal, 8-way, 48-way, analog and you can also make them work as rotaries. They also work both with encoders and as USB joysticks, at the same time. If I can find a way to get them to work with AAE Update #2 I'll upgrade my CP to them.

About $60 a piece basics. With the rotary upgrade and the extras (spring, restrictor etc...) they can come in closer to $150 each.

For connecting all stuff to old xbox i use dualstrike encoder which works with almost all console with USB and PC (PS2/PS3/XBOX/XBOX360). As we know, xbox does not have a USB input ports so I ordered a special adapter from China to connect with them DualStrike encoders.

In this cab I have standard Sanwa sticks.

At now I have upgraded Xbox inside cab which had 1.4Ghz CPU and 128MB RAM what make it to play many more games from PSX, N64 and Chihiro all in full speed without frameskip :D
