Building a rock solid bare bones pc for HS

Hey guys

I'm wondering about what types of pc's you run in your cab?

I've had my cab for years but interested in building a HS specific pc... Rock solid with NOTHING else on it.

Anybody have ideas? I've never seen the guts of the "high end" cabinet makers and what they use for their pc's and controllers.

For me currently , just a tankstick and cabinet basic PC. But now that I know my system in and out, would like to upgrade.

I've noticed on some cab's that people commercially make, you don't even see windows running.... Everything HS related is accessible with button commands???

if you want to build something to play mame and derivative emulators only, build yourself something based around the Pentium G3220. Its a 3ghz dual core processor that can overclock like a beast. You can find them for as little as 50 bucks and its still in this current generation of chipsets.

I think you mean the G3258? At least that can be overclocked very well.

Do like I do. Get the coolest looking fan you can find and build the system around that. Looking at a V8 GTS right now that I can't currently do anything with because I spent too much for water cooling a separate system.

See that's what I'm talking about. Where you start wondering if your case is big enough.
