at the moment i'm working on animated .swf as background use for hypertheme. i created my sfw using adobe after effects (-> export -> adobe flash player (SWF)). my composition is in 1024*768 using a transparent background.

but when i try to use the exported .swf in hypertheme the following error message appears: "Could not load AVM2 SWF".

when i try to use any .swf exported from after effects as artwork1/2/3/4 in hypertheme it doesn't work either. in this case there is no error message. hyper theme just doesn't do anything after i select a .swf for artwork.

do i need to set certain parameters or option when exporting? does somebody know where I went wrong?

thanks for reading and have a good one!

Swf made in AE don't work in HS. TBH the only software I've found capable of making .swf working in HS is adobe flash professional (ActionScript3 template. as2 don't work either). Render the video in .flv in AE then import the video into flash professional and export the .swf. Flv sucks BUT you can use alpha channel on videos, and this is interesting for some effects. Remember that HS do NOT consider framerate so the video will be played faster in HS when embedd into the swf and audio will not be synced. There are some method to load a video from an external portable source with the correct speed but you need to use AS3 code inside the .swf.

If it's only for yourself you can use the option to NOT embedd the video at all while importing, the swf will load the video (mp4 or flv) from the source folder you imported it into adobe flash.
