Boot directly into wheel

Okay new question. Would it be possible to create a wheel with something like 60 MAME games? E.g. "All Time Favorites" with Pac-Man, Galaga, etc. And be displayed among the other wheels?

Sure. Just make another system wheel with what you want on/in it.

yes to both

you can boot directly into a wheel, but you have to use a AHK script.

go to YouTube and look for Hyperspin Nested

it will show you how to create custom Main Menu wheels and how to jump from multiple main menu options to sub wheels.

if you want to create a favorites system

take the MAME XML,  remove all the games you don't want

or

Make a new XML and add all the games you want from MAME.

open HyperHQ

add a new system --> MAME1

Open RLUI

add all the settings you added to your MAME system to your custom system (MAME1)

the global MAME emulator will be missing form the drop down menu

in RLUI go to the RocketlauherUI Tab (farthest to the right) and

in the General options section

remove Valid emulators/module Only  check

this will display ALL the emulators in the drop down menu  (when you assign an emulator in RLUI  to a system)

Will this work even though I don't use rocketlauncher for anything? I have a hyperspin setup from 2012 that mainly launches everything directly (no hyperlaunch).

This is what I've decided on. I have a list of "favorites" from MAME. I want them in their own wheel under "Arcade Classics", but still have "MAME" which includes the entire list.

Is there an easier way than manually creating a new wheel & adding all of the artwork? I can also post the favorites list if it helps.

Well you want to have a new wheel, so you need to create a new wheel with its own database etc...

The media you can just copy paste (which would be dead simple if you have less than 100 games in the new wheel) or you could use symbolic links to share the MAME media folder between both systems.

Thanks.  Will be very helpful when i get a chance to get back on Hyperspin track again.
