The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Mega Drive/Genesis re-release.

That's pretty cool :)  I like how it also plays original carts.

Only bad thing, from what I saw in the pics is the output is composite :/

A bit expensive at $138  Would've been nice to see VGA or HDMI outputs, etc...

This is what Sega or Tectoy should do:

The Sega Fusion I made a while back...all in one (Genesis/MD + Sega CD + 32X).  Has RGB, component,  S-Video and composite outputs.  Internal power supply that powers all 3 systems.

All the soldering was a major pia though hehe:)

Hey, I read this some days ago.

Yeah, it seems Tectoy, which was our Sega reseller and manufacturer here in Brazil is releasing this new Genesis (Mega Drive for us), I read it comes with 20 classics, will work as a usual Mega Drive console, accepting cards and other accessories (not sure though), and also has the SD card slot.

Tectoy actually releases the Master System and Mega Drive since early 90`s here, you can always purchase a Master System with a totally different look that we are used to, and the Mega Drive was also released a lot of times, but they focused on the Mega Drive III model, which is probably cheaper to produce.

I just wanted Sega Saturns too, I actually have a Brazilian Saturn here, but would be nice to see they releasing special models.

We can say that Sega is not totally dead regarding hardware, since Tectoy never gives up.
