Quck XPadder question.

I have never used XPadder and don't really know much about it. I just had a thought and was wondering if this is something that can be done using it.

I have 40 systems set up on my cab and I'm using an X-Arcade dual controller to play the games. I also have an XBOX 360 controller connected, but I never use it. Can i set up XPadder so that I at any given time can pick up the 360 controller and play the games with that instead? I was just thinking that this would be awesome if I ever wanted to use my hyperspin setup on a TV in a livingroom or something. No config Changes would need to be made. Just a thought. Is this doable?

I believe it may be possible using the keymapper (possibly ahk) function in Hyperlaunch HQ. I have explored this but not had much luck. If you can find out the relative inputs for the various pad functions such as "x button = Joy01" or something like that. You will may be able to assign the pad buttons to replicate the input from your arcade stick.

I want to do this for similar reasons where some games on a console work well with a stick but others work best with a pad due to analogue control or button layouts.

OK. So It's possible to replicate keys aswell as remapping them? Maby I could run a global AHK script that does that then. Has anyone tried something like this?

I pretty sure it's possible as there is the option to set a preferred controller in HLHQ. The finer details I don't know, but I use Xbox controllers, 1 of which is the basis of my control panel.

Adding a different controller would mean setting it as preferred for certains games or systems.

I do this with my 4 player cab for all systems older than N64. I can use my player 1 control panel or my player 1 xbox 360 controller to play any of my consoles (or player 2 or player 3 or player 4). Works rather well. In xpadder I just setup each controller using the control panel and works like a champ.

This sounds great. I gotta try that after I've done the other 4000 things I've been meaning to do with my steup. So both controller works at the same time then? No settings or anything to change between the two?
