COMPLETE(?!?) Laserdisc guide

I'm trying to find the best concise info on laserdisc games- looking for a quick rundown of a Daphne vs MAME vs (other emulator?) list of what is best for what?

I see Youtube videos where I think people confuse the emulators... such as claiming to play Dragon's Lair in MAME (currently in non-working status) instead of the more likely Daphne.

I'm very familiar with Daphne so I guess I'm asking what games and best emulators you need for a whole setup.  Am I correct in the following assumptions:

- Daphne is the best emulator for all games it emulates

- NO laserdisc games supported by DAPHNE work/are supported by MAME except Cliff Hanger, Cobra Command, M.A.C.H. 3, and Us vs Them (Esh's Aurunmilla and Road Blaster maybe??)

- MAME ALSO exclusively supports what DAPHNE does not: Firefox (and no other relevant title)

- Daphne is the one and only Action Max emulator, BUT one needs to familiarize oneself with SINGE and install it to work any Action Max games.

-There are other laserdisc games that may or may not be emulated yet (as featured in the HyperSpin xmls of 'American Laser Games' and 'Pioneer Palcom Laserdisc')

-There are yet OTHER laserdisc games that various emulators support that many people are unaware of: ie, Hologram Time Traveler, NFL Football, and more.

Please let me [EVERYONE!!] know of the best arcade mame supplemental guide for laserdisc games and related titles that may slip through the cracks if not mentioned here like action max.

-Yes, in most cases.

- NO laserdisc games supported by DAPHNE work/are supported by MAME except Cliff Hanger, Cobra Command, M.A.C.H. 3, and Us vs Them (Esh's Aurunmilla and Road Blaster maybe??)
-Road Blaster is not currently supported by MAME, not sure about Esh. I think another game was quietly made working within MAME somethime in the last year or so, but I can't remember exactly what it was, but it may have been Esh.

- MAME ALSO exclusively supports what DAPHNE does not: Firefox (and no other relevant title)
-Cube Quest is also working with MAME, & is absolutely relevant.

- Daphne is the one and only Action Max emulator, BUT one needs to familiarize oneself with SINGE and install it to work any Action Max games.
-Action Max works with Singe, it is fairly easy to setup, plus some versions out there come with .bat files for further simplification.

-There are other laserdisc games that may or may not be emulated yet (as featured in the HyperSpin xmls of 'American Laser Games' and 'Pioneer Palcom Laserdisc')
-American Laser Games are also Singe based & are shooting game such as Mad Dog McCree, the Pioneer Palcom games are for the MSX & are mostly arcade conversions, but they are worth having & are working with OpenMSX (I think), maybe others, search the forums, i'm fairly sure I started a thread about them years back.

-There are yet OTHER laserdisc games that various emulators support that many people are unaware of: ie, Hologram Time Traveler, NFL Football, and more.
-There is a Singe based Time Traveler. There are also Singe based versions of Time Gal & Ninja Hayate. I think you can play NFL Football with a special Daphne version, but again, my memory is not what it once was.

Yep. Basically don't use MAME for any of them except for Firefox

Use Daphne/Daphne Singe for all of them except for Firefox

...That's really about it.

If you're running a dedicated LaserDisc Classics wheel you'll want to have all the Daphne games, plus Ninja Hayate, Time Gal, Time Traveller (Singe) etc... plus Firefox (MAME) combined into a single wheel.

I set time traveler up a while back.... was a nice addition to my laser disc games. after reading this post I got my hands on ninja hayate and time gal... and will set them up when I get a chance.  Already have the american laser games and pretty much the daphne games except space ace which for some reason the videos I had didn't work with it but I heard space ace is real picky about which videos you have to use. Always cool to find out about other games that I wasn't up on.

Awesome!  Thanks on Cube Quest info too- I see I have that set up as well. I got all the games set up now except for Pioneer/MSX- have them just not configured.  I'm also trying to figure out some alternate versions and a few more titles listed at the end of the amazing tutorial at:
