It's taking a while for .153 due to stability issues being worked out, so nobody knows exactly when it will drop. To be fair, it's going to be the biggest MAME release in a long time. CAVE officially supported again, Taito FX-1/G-NET games getting music finally, usual new games supported and/or working, etc.

Thanks for shedding some lite on 153 boohiss.

MAMEUI 0.152 -issue- when you choose a game from the game wheel it literally takes 30 seconds to load. Is there a way to speed this up? Everything right now is running on an external 500GB HDD. Is there a way to run the executable directly instead of HyperLaunch?

I run my Hyperspin off an external as well and I find that I need to wake up my harddrive before I can run things smoothly. This also becomes a pain if I play a game for too long. So it could just be your external that is taking a long time. I usually just navigate to a file that I haven't opened in a long time to force the HD to wake up, then everything runs smoothly. Try doing that, then launch games from within HyperLaunch HQ. If you are still having slow load times, then the issue is somewhere else.

I can tell you that MAME games load instantly for me through HyperLaunch, so I would assume this is not the issue.
