no video with mame snaps

I've installed mame video snaps, can hear the audio of the snaps but don't see the video. Any ideas?

 

Edit: seems wmp doesn't have the codec for these files. DIVX can play the files but the video is pixelated. VLC is able to run these files no problem. Is there a setting for Hyperspin to use VLC for the snaps?

Hmm try installing the codecs.. Klite mega pack is a good one

Unfortunately  the codec pack didn't work. I think there's an issue with the files themselves, not sure what's going on but I converted them to mp4 although they are mp4 anyway, used video avc and audio aac and and that seems to have worked; problem is, I have so damn many to convert!

Sounds like you grabbed a non-HyperSpin compatible video pack. Where did you get it so others can avoid it.

If you use Hypersync to grab all your videos at once every one of them should work.

 I'm already 3/4 of the way through converting them to FLV and that seems to be doing the trick. Thanks for the tip on using Hypersync, I'll look at that going forward.

I converted them as part of the MAME art set as well... They're on my MEGA account.

I don't use HyperSpin, so I don't know for sure if they work, but I converted them for RetroFE since I had issues there as well.
