No sound in Emulator

Pulling my hair out over this one! Things were working fine around a week ago - but over the last few days I've been trying to play Nintendo Entertainment System games, and there is no sound!

I am using Rocketlauncher to launch and Retroarch with the Nestopia.ahk module. There is sound when browsing in Hyperspin itself, and I get the "loading complete" speech, but as soon as the game is running then there is no sound!

I tried loading a game via HS/RL/RA with a different emulator (Sega Master System) and the game loaded but there was no sound there either.

Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Running on 2016 Macbook Pro.

Wow...such a simple thing. Yes, the sound for Retroarch was muted in the Windows mixer. No idea why, as I don't recall ever muting it!

While you're here, may I ask something else? If you don't know I can open another thread. Basically, when I change the screen size in Retroarch for the emulator (under video settings then custom viewport size) this works, but when I close down and restart RA/the emulator, the setting is not remembered. I tried selecting save current config in RA but still no beans. I also selected allow per core configuration in RA but same issue.

Edit: I figured out one way to do it, but not sure if it is the right way: I edited the retroarch.ini file and changed the CustomViewportWidth settings under the NES heading.

Now I've noticed that whenver I run a game in Retroarch, Retroarch goes muted in the Windows mixer. I can unmute it and it then works fine, but why is this happening and how can I stop it?

I know there is a setting in rocket launcher if you are using that, that can mute the emulator. Test not setting that to true. Good luck.

Maybe you hit a hotkey?

I can't answer the rest. I don't use Retroarch at all, I don't think it's any good. Sorry.

I couldn't find that setting in RocketLauncherUI - do you know where it is? Thanks.

I think it's under a systems Fade settings. Mute during fade in = true/false. Even when set to true it's supposed to unmute when the game loads, but maybe it isn't for some reason.
