Senhor Computador Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hey guys, i downloaded the complete hyperspin project from torrents, i know i am lazy... and i was actually trying to avoid posting a question but here it goes: My hyperspin actually works, i managed to configure a few emulators (not all) and they work. here's the thing, i have configured the emulators in hyperlaunch HQ, using the correct modules, the correct paths, and putting the correct extensions at work, but , whenever i launch things using hyperspin i dont think it uses hyperlaunch at all, i mean, if i dont have the correct path at hyperhq for the emulator and roms, the emulator in question just wouldn't work, even if i switched from execution "normal" to "hyperlaunch" it wouldnb't make a difference. What am i doing wrong? Thanks in advance
Senhor Computador Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 i did a quick test, i changed the hyperlaunch.exe to hyperlaunch.bak and it really is bootip up trough hyperlaunch, but then why do i have to point out both emulators and games on both hyperhq and hyperlaunch hq?

Hello and welcome to the Forums! If you are using HyperLaunch3 you do not need to set the emulator in HyperHQ. You do need to set the rom path, but leave the emulator blank. 32assassin Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Hyperlaunch version 1: The only thing you where able to do in Hyperlaunch was add launch scripts to an AHK file. their was no place for you to add any rom or emulator paths. Making the rom path and emu path in HyperHQ VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION. Hyperlaunch version 2. you where able to add rom and emulator paths in the Hyperlaunch.exe but those paths where stored in the same place HyperHQ stored its paths. HyperHQ paths = Hyeprlaunch paths RocketLauncher: is a completely independent program from Hyperspin. It now stores all the information it needs in its own database, making the emu path in HyperHQ obsolete. if and when Hyperspin is updated, I would not be surprised if this option is removed. rom paths and extensions are used by HyperHQ for filtering purposes, if you are not using the "Rom filter" option in HyperHQ, you don't need to add any rom paths.
gigapig Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 but then why do i have to point out both emulators and games on both hyperhq and hyperlaunch hq? HyperHQ allows you to change settings in Hyperspin. Hyperlaunch HQ allows you to easily change settings in Hyperlaunch.
Senhor Computador Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 hey guys, i am using RocketLauncher , i think i still have to setup the emulator path on hyperhq , if it works, it works. There are two guides, one for WinUAE and one for WinUAELoader. I would recommend using just WinUAE. Senhor Computador Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 thanks! you are the best. I currently have another question, i was configuring everything on one computer, then i switched to my arcade machine running xp... if ound out that hyperspin doesn't even launch with netframework 4, and 3.5 makes it launch but i can't run other stuff like hyperlaunchhq, is this a common issue? Edit: oh my... it seems that framework is not the blame, crt emudriver for ati is! is there any way i can use crt emudriver and make hyperspin work at the same time? Edit 2: used win modelines , removed the excess modes and it works. I found a bug and repoted it. you need an audio driver for hyperspin to run!
