Meph Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 I setup a small hyperspin machine using the tutorials here and have wheels setup for Mame, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Sega Master, and Daphne. All of the above are fully working; wheels, games, snaps, etc....with the exception of the video snaps for Daphne. I am only running 3 Daphne games (Dragons Lair, Dragons Lair 2, and Space Ace). They are labeled "lair, lair2, ace" and are fully playable. In the media folder I have my "lair, lair2, and ace" MP4 files. HyperHQ point to the proper directory for those MP4 snaps, but they will not play. I have the same setup for all the other systems as well as the same directory structure for those snaps. They are all working. Any suggestions?
Metalzoic Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 aRE THESE THE VIDEOS FROM hYPERSYNC OR DID YOU GET THEM ELSEWHERE? gAh stupid caps lock!
Meph Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 I have videos from Hypersync and for elsewhere. Neither have worked. THe videos play fine on the machine, just not in hyperspin.
32assassin Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 is their any sound? if you already made sure that the video path has not been changed try this options try using a different theme, maybe their is a problem with the themes you have if the videos play with the new theme their is a problem with your daphne themes try adding a video (that you know works from another system) into the daphne folder and rename it to match the 3 games you have. if the video plays then their is a problem with your videos I find it hard to believe that their is something wrong with the videos, but rename them and try them in another system that works.
Meph Posted October 3, 2017 Author Posted October 3, 2017 Thanks for the help guys, it's working now. 32assassin, I did try what you said by renaming a video and playing it in the mame folder and it played fine. Next I went to check my daphne theme and see what was wrong and somewhere along the line I somehow deleted all of my files in the daphne theme folder. I quick restore from a backup and all is working again. I didn't check it before because everything had been working. Not sure how I did it but it's all good now. Thanks.
