The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hello,

I'm setting up my hyperspin on an 2TB external hard drive and I thought occurred to me if my complete setup is on a usb harddrive could I just plug and play on other machines? Would it be as simple as changing the file paths in hyperspin and rocket launcher to relative? As long as the machine I plug into would be the same operating system? i think it would be cool to drop in to friends places and play and leave.

I am new to this and willing to learn. I'm sorry if these questions are stupid or are impossible. I thought I would reach out to the community to see if others have made a solution for this. I have searched the forums, but didn't find the answer and I have also been googling but have yet to find a solid answer.

thank you for your time

As long as you always use the same drive letter for your usb drive that should work. You’ll only run into problems if you are using emulators that use the registry.

Awesome! This is so cool! Super pumped! Thanks for the speedy responses
There may be a couple of OS dependencies as well... C++ and .net framework come to mind.

That was one of my concerns.  AfterI everything working  at home first, I'll take it on a tour of friends houses and see what errors pop up and  see what needs to be done to keep the dream alive!

You'll need DirectX 9 components for HLSL in MAME, if you're using it
