Hey all,

I'm having a really hard time getting any emulator to launch via Hyperlaunch/HyperSpin. I'm sure I'm doing something newbish, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'll attach my ScreenCap.

I suggest starting with something easier like gameboy advance or nes or mame or sega genesis. Nintendo 64 can be a pain. You should check out my tutorial on setting up mame and some of the other tutorials for the other emulators to get the gist of what you need to do to get a generic emulator. Link to the tutorial is in my signature see "How to install hyperspin." If you have difficulty reading, check out the gigaguides channel on youtube.

Also one more thing,

When asking for help for RocketLauncher, please post your HyperLaunch.log with logging level set to troubleshooting. You can set the logging level to troubleshooting in HyperLaunchHQ in the global system under General Settings -> HyperLaunch. To post the log copy ALL of the contents of the log and paste it either into your post or a pastebin link.

Thank you,

and you should read over ghutch92s "How to Install HyperSpin" guide

your Default_Emulator, should not have the path to your emulator. it should have the emulator name; similar to mine.

[ROMS]

Default_Emulator=Project64 2.0.0.14

Rom_Path=J:\Roms\Nintendo 64

the hole point of HyperlaunchHQ is that you never have to modify your config files directly.

it looks like you opened your Emulator config file and added the emulator path to your default emulator selection

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the quick replies. I'll be sure to post in the correct forum next time. I did start off with an easier (I thought) emulator, which was SNES. This gave me the same problem. You're right, I did edit the .ini file. If I scrap it, will it automatically be created once starting HyperLaunchHQ?... In the meanwhile, I will start with reading the How to Install Hyperspin Guide.

Also, when following your instructions, It asks me to install GIT. Which has a dead DL link. Is this step not needed anymore?

Hi Respite....First of all, Welcome! I informed DJVJ and team about the link. Should be updated soon...

Also something to keep in mind i just came across, if your roms are in .7z format the emulator cant load it. In Hyperlaunch there is a tab settings - main settings - and a section of that is "7z". If your games are in that format set to True, and delete temporary. That worked for me, hopefully that can help you out.
