19" 4:3 LCD Monitor - Do They Exist??

I'm really stumped. I'm failing to find ANY 19" LCD monitor that is truly 4:3. All the 19" monitors I'm finding, though labeled 4:3 in the description, have a resolution of 1280 x 1024, which is 5:4...

Can someone link me to a truly 4:3 19" LCD monitor?

You will be hard pressed to find a 1024x768 19" monitor.. if you really want a true large scrren 4:3 monitor go with a 20" running 1600x1200

I run an HP 19" @ 1280X1024 and have no issues whatsoever. MAME, NES, Sega, PC Games, etc all run look great. What are your reservations of it not being true 4:3?

I've been on information overload the last few weeks. As most original retro games were 4:3, it's recommended to run HS on a 4:3 monitor.

But since 5:4 is so close, I guess it doesn't matter.

Cool, I just didn't know if there was a red flag on going something other than 4:3. I think you will be great with the 5:4. A lot of people run it, no issues.

I have 3 Samsung 214T 21.3" 4:3 IPS monitors. They are 1600x1200 resolution and have AMAZING viewing angles.
