The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Tonight I copied over the HyperSpin 1.5.1 Upgrade Files (I had version 1.4.16 previously) and now when I press the power button of the computer on my cabinet to shutdown, Windows 7 halts on the following screen

Sometimes I have the same problem on a friend's cabinet on w7, turn off the pc from hyperspin itself using a .bat that close hyperspin and then turn off the computer

I'm also having a similar problem. Hyperspin.exe isn't exiting properly after the launch of a single game. If I start hyperspin from a clean boot it runs speedy, the wheel spins fast and the videos load quick. I go to launch a game and the emulator and game run great. When I exit the game/emulator and I return to hyperspin and it's then running sluggish, the wheel spins slow and videos load slowly. I exit hyperspin and look at Task Manager and it's still running, consuming the full resources of a single core (25% of total CPU resources in a 4-core system). If I endtask on it and launch it again it's still running sluggish.

I've tried white listing my program paths for Hyperspin and Rocketlauncher with Windows Defender. Setting Hyperspin to run with Administrative privileges. Disabling front end pause in Rocketlauncher and nothing seems to help. It's become so annoying I'm looking into other front ends which I don't want to do. I've invested years in this configuration but Hyperspin 1.5.1 has serious problems here.

I don't think it's related to Rocketluancher. I can also recreate the sluggish behavior without launching a game. If I open Hyperspin and Alt-Tab to another open program and then tab back you can then see it running slowly and it wont exit properly. It will languish in task manager consuming 25% of system resources. It only exits properly if I open and close it without launching a game/emulator.

I'm using Windows 10 ver. 1903.

I think I found a winning combination of settings in RL! Anyone who has these problems try these settings in your RL configuration:

You may still need to wait a couple seconds when returning to HS but if you do everything should be running smoothly and exiting HS won't result in a languishing process or you having to end task on it.
