SSF definitely needs daemon tools (use DTLite501-0406, works on w10 1809 and is packed with less crapware compared to latest version). You need to install the software, load an iso and assign a letter to the virtual drive, select the virtual drive on SSF, select the virtual drive on RocketLauncher.

Honestly beetle saturn on retroarch is much easier to use as it directly loads .cue and has a very good compatibility. The downside is it needs much more cpu power than SSF.

I agree with this statement. I am still waiting for CHD to be fully supported with the saturn emulators but it causes some LAG so I just kept my cue/bin setup for now. I will probably give ISO again but its not a rush.

I’m getting the same error “failed to load content” I have retroarch installed and running other emulators no problem. I put both bios files in the systems folder and downloaded the Beatle core. When I load the core then load a Sega Saturn cue or bin file it says failed to load content. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

some Saturn games won't load with RA. What game are you trying ?

Some RA cores seems to have problem loading .cue with multiple track (.bin + .wav), try to re-rip the rom in bin+cue format with isobuster https://www.isobuster.com/it/

I’ll check when I get home but I tried 2-3 from the hyperspin ready set on The pleasure website. Do you know any that work off hand so I can try it? Starting to wonder if I should just switch emulators but I really like having one emulator.

I tried Area 51. Loading the cue file it says failed to load content. I just downloaded Mednafen and it loads fine. I’ve read the emulation isn’t great and did kind of studder a bit. Really wish I could get this to load in Retroarch but I must be missing something? Any more suggestions?

Checked Area 51 and it loads and plays ok on RA 1.8.1 using bin/cue

Make sure you have all bios files for the core you are using

Make sure the cue is named correctly

Make sure your module is saying to use the correct core

Check you are not using vulkan driver, use GL instead
