All I can say is HOLY COW, this morning I had a 7mb/s donwload 1mb/s upload connection O.o Just wanted to share the thing ps. no joke Automatizing infopanels creation from .csv files for HTPCs themes (look at infopanel tutorial.zip on the ftp in dark13 folder) PNGs to SWFs automatized flash scripts Hyperspin Wheelset automatized template (photoshop's variables + batch) Aeon nox 4.13 W.I.P. hyperspin skin
dark13 Posted May 16, 2019 Author Posted May 16, 2019 Honestly, 1gb connection is a "joke" as there are very few servers in the world capable of uploading 1gb to a single user, but it is really useful when using multiple devices as every device will have a decent bandwidth. When installing and updating windows with 7mb/s I had internet unusable for hours (my old netgear seems to ignore QOS setting when windows is updating) -.- ISPs in Italy sucks BADLY but lately the situation is getting better, many ISPs are offering decent connection at an (almost) decent price but in many places internet is still slow. According to speedtest average speed is 51.23mbs/ 18.7mbs https://www.speedtest.net/global-index/italy but the average connection is probably something like 20mbs/3mbs. Fiber-optic FTTH users are probably pushing up the average. In 2004 we already had 10mbs/10bms that was really good for 2004 but it was limited to few cities and even fewer neighborhoods.
