Prebuilt hyperspin pc

Hi. I read countless times not to buy a disc or pre build as if something goes wrong, you’re not gonna be able to work it out. I’ve been using emulators for years and figured a pre built pc with everything pre installed for less than £200 would suit me fine.

So it boots up into windows 10 and then straight into a hyperspin video and initially a search box. I was assured I wouldn’t need a keyboard but I couldn’t, and still can’t access the search although I did manage to find the emulators with art files and videos and looked the absolute business on my TV. After scrolling through the games and emulators I get the error message ‘cannot find launcher’. I’ve been through the setup files and they appear to all be pointing to the correct directory but refuse to launch anything. As I said videos and artwork are fine just this error. This is the mame settings file which all seems to be in order I’m obviously missing something obvious in another setting file. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be grand. The seller isn’t in a hurry to respond to my messages and I don’t want to have to send it back.

and now you know why we don't support the sale of Hyperspin drives.

are you using Rocketlauncer or HyperLaunch 2,O

both of those paths are only needed if

a. you are using HyperLaunch 2,O

b. you are using rom filters

(I personally don't have either paths filled in my set up)

we can give you some advice but we first need to know what you are running.

if you are running RocketLauncher

post your

RocketLauncher error logs

and your

C:\HyperSpin\Log.txt

i downloaded rocketlauncher yesterday and it comes up with the error

cannot findd:\Arcade\rocketlauncher\rocketlauncherUI\Database\Systems.xml

You have a very dated setup configured to run with Hyperlaunch 2,o

and apparently its not in your working directory

06:27:02 PM | Can't find HyperLaunch, defaulting to root HyperLaunch.exe

if you want to use Rocektaluncher you first

need to define your Rocektlauncher.exe path in your Settings. INI file located at

D:\Arcade\Settings\Settings.INI

it should look something like this

Hyperlaunch_Path=..\RocketLauncher\Rocketlauncher.exe

and then

you need to define the Hyperspin.exe path in Rocketlauncher

and

set up Hyperspin as your default Front end Plugin in RL

then and only then will you get rid of this error

cannot findd:\Arcade\rocketlauncher\rocketlauncherUI\Database\Systems.xml

Ok. So I did that and it loaded the first game on the list. Happy days and thank you. So I’m guessing I have to do that with every emulator on there, which is quite a few. Do I need to use rocket launcher or can I just use hyperspin on its own. I’m not about to delete anything because it didn’t have rocket launcher on it when I bought it, I don’t think, but I was told I would not need to use the keyboard as the joypads would be used as the insert coin or start buttons, but I found that it didn’t work Luke that. Which is how I came to download it
