rfancella Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Is there any way to make Space Invaders look like this via Hyperspin? See screen shot attached to this post. There is a way to make it close. Use bezels or in game MAME artwork. The MAME artwork looks like this: The HyperLaunch Bezels look like this: Thanks, Ron Code Monkey and all around Command Line geek!If you like what someone has said or done for you, be sure and 'Thank' them. And if they changed your life, send them a Beer!
gigapig Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 They are all the same except the screen creativeone posted has artwork crop switched on or off in mame.
BlueGoblin Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 what settings do i need to access to add this artwork?
pucpuc Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 when ingame just press tab to access the options - video - then choose backdrops, bezel view: full in video options edit: you must have the files in your mame artwork subfolder
BlueGoblin Posted June 19, 2014 Author Posted June 19, 2014 ok got them to work... the screen size with the bevels/backgrounds are much smaller. Is it because these games were built with vertical monitors to compensate the exact layout and size? I have a 20" lcd i use in the cabinet. Is there a way to make it fit perfectly or would i have to take the png files and re lay them out via photoshop? whats the best way?
Thooperman Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I use these two files in my HyperLaunch\Media\Bezels\MAME\invaders folder using normal mode and I keep only the background turned on in MAME. https://www.mediafire.com/?1d796rnaa2a28ob https://www.mediafire.com/?7xdaar31v7hipua The end result looks like this. I'm not sure if that is something you would be after or if you are only looking for the background so I thought I'd post it in case it helped.
