mankin Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I tried searching the forum for a solution to this but couldn't find it. I want to use 2 controllers for playstation 1 games but only 1 is working. I am using Retroarch 1.8.5 with the BEETLE PSX HW core. I am using 2 Brook Universal Fight Boards as XBOX 360 controllers. I am able to setup the inputs in core settings and save them but when I run a game only player 1 controller is recognized player 2 doesn't exist. I have attached images of my settings. I have no problems getting 2 players to work with Retroarch for nes, snes, genesis,SMS or 3DO. Also weird I rebooted computer now the controllers are being seen as xinput not windows 360 controllers, but in the other cores (i.e. SNES) it is recognized as 360 controllers. How do I get both controllers to work for Playstation? Thanks in advance
Spawk Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Port 2 clearly has no key binds, can't you just go through the "bind all" then "save autoconfig"?

mankin Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 Spawk I don't understand what you mean by no key binds. I've re-did the inputs to match each other and still it player 2 is not recognized. Creezz67 can you recommend a better ps1 core?
Spawk Posted June 24, 2020 Posted June 24, 2020 Admittedly I do not know that much about RA. I have this love/hate thing going on with it because of exactly this kind of convoluted way of configuring things. There is probably an easier way to get it to recognize the right 360 controller profile instead of the generic xinput one.I guess I don’t know how your “fight board” works either because my “afterglow 360 controllers” are set to dinput not xinput.Maybe the libretro forums would be a good place to ask.As far as using another core, I hope not. I was understanding that the beetle HW core was the best one to use... unless you are running a pi or some other single board pc that doesn’t have any real Hardware (HW like a nice video card) to take advantage of it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
mankin Posted June 24, 2020 Author Posted June 24, 2020 Thanks Spawk I will go over to the Libretro forum and see if I have any better luck.
