The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Windows 10 20H2 fix available?

I am just speaking from experience.
For everyone out there, just set an exclusion in your anti-virus/ Windows Defender for your entire Hyperspin drive and you are good to go.
If you do NOT do this, you will have files being quarantined and blocked in the background with no notifications.
I think I am being helpful, but when BBB's keep telling me they know best that is really starting to annoy me.

It’s the naming calling and put downs that are the issue. And you continue to conflate points without really understanding what that means.

In between all the bravado stuff there is a conversation to be had. It's all just choices though.  Creezz is not the most eloquent speaker but I happen to agree with him. Malware/AV programs have no place on a gaming rig! But to justify that I believe you need a dedicated PC for this type of thing. You turn it on. play games, and turn it off. At no point is there a need for such programs. If you run on your daily PC then AV is probably needed... but you DO need to set an exception for your entire HS setup if this is the case. We all have to remember that we can't force people to think the way we think. We are all at different places with different goals.

This is so technically inaccurate it’s embarrassing. And also has anyone actually read what I actually said?

You absolutely should be running AV on any machine connected to the internet (ffs, this shouldn’t even need explaining in 2021). And yes, you will need exceptions for emulators in some instances as they do things which look like viruses. And yes, you may as well have an exception for your entire folder / drive.

The point, and I will state it again is... HS as a front end should not need an exception in itself. HS does need this because it is old, based on flash, badly implemented and frankly a decade overdue for an update.

Man, this community has descended in to a toxic mess. What happened?!

YOU feel it necessary to run AV

I feel it not necessary!

What I said was is that's ok and to respect other people's choices. Somehow you turned it into flaming me for not thinking exactly like you? YOU missed the point totally... as usual!

I never said Hyperspin.exe needed to be an exception , I said the Hyperspin setup.

Maybe I should think about the monkey level IQ some people have on here before I answer any questions and dumb my answers down even more than I do, as I think saying Hyperspin needs to have exclusions in the anti virus means the entire setup and NOT hyperspin.exe

As for being eloquent, there is a time and a place to be eloquent ..... This forum ain't it !!

Setting exclusions for your setup means you can still keep the anti virus on, that's why they are called exclusions !

You EXCLUDE them from the anti virus protection, while protecting the rest of your computer.

Please let me know if you don't understand this and I will try and dumb it down further for you with some pictures :)
