Hyperspin not workin on windows 11

1. Working on Windows 11 Home 24H2

2. Working on Windows 11 Pro 23H2

Is it safe to say the problem lies with Windows 11 Pro 24H2?

I was using Windows 11 HOME 24H2 and it worked fine until it installed/updated Windows 11 24H2 Update (KB5046740)

Once this is installed Hyperspin stops working

Maybe not ideal, but I can confirm that by uninstalling KB5046740 update from Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Hyperspin does seem to work again.

I must admit I got that info from elsewhere as when mine went down I took a screenshot of problem update, then lost everything on my new SSD when trying a system restore, so didn't see the code.

I thought the one that caused the problem for me could NOT be uninstalled (I checked) and it was a large Security preview update and the only one that updated on my PC on a fully working 242H setup i had just installed (meaning Hyperspin was working fine on 242H until that update)

Can you confirm that it's NOT working with the update, then working again when uninstalled ?

I can confirm that by uninstalling the KB5046740 update from Windows 11 Pro 24H2, Hyperspin does seem to work again.

The screenshot below shows my system is up to date, but KB5046740 is ready for download again after I uninstalled it.

Yes, That's the download I had, but when I checked to see if it could be uninstalled it was NOT on the list.

This is a large optional update as well, so I

Try installing this and you can hide the update and it will NOT be installed again.

Are you using key mapper and joytokey because when my key mapper on games won't launch I got to turn off key mapper in rocket launcher

If you are on Windows 11 version 24H2 (type WINVER into search on desktop if unsure) Hyperspin will not currently work, unless you uninstall the problem updates, then turn OFF Windows Updates completely.

Alternatively, you can look for Windows 11 version 23H2 and install that, all working fine on previous versions with updates enabled.

What are you talking about? Hes referencing Joytokey and Rocketlauncher.

Pull hyperspin out and run it in its own folder... still wont launch

Ive just submitting this problem to Microsofts feedback hub... I dont know if it will yield any results but its worth a shot.

You are informed of the issue with Hyperspin not functioning on Windows 11 24H2 with the latest updates. Your options are to either wait for the next Windows update in hopes it resolves the problem, downgrade to Windows 11 24H2 without the recent updates, or revert to an update earlier version of Windows.

Its not 24h2 its just the newest version of it so i uninstalled and its working again but they still need a fix for this

1 thing i read .... the 24H2 problem will be no more !!!!
