HyperHQ 0.45 stuck at start

hi,

update to hyperHQ 0.45 from 0.43 and got freeze at startup .

 i have also tried a clean install but the issue remain

Same here tried everything.Gets stuck installing the plugins I believe.

Emulators get stuck... Mame wont unpack when adding mame to the setup either.

Tried to update to latest Version, just sits there as before, even tried a complete clean installation

Sorry guys, i cannot carryout anymore testing, as I am unable to update any further, as Extracting Hyperspin Core, just sits there extracting doing nothing......

Have even tried with 2.0.54, still just sits there saying Extracting Hyperspin Core.

Any ideas on things I should be doing?

I've already tried a complete new install, on a different Computer, which has made no difference.

Please help

try  deleting all folders hyperspin and hyperhq, and install clear fresh version HyperHq. Last version on the site - good working to me/

Have tried that, thats also why I tried a different computer, which made no difference.

I also disabled the Virus protection, incase that was doing something.

What’s your process for updating the core plugin?

 

The I have seen it get stuck on extracting before also.

close HQ and quit from system tray. Open again head to plugins tab and use the reinstall button on the plugins page.

@Asparky I hope this helps.

1. Uninstall HyperHQ
2. In C:\users\USERNAME
   • Delete .HyperHQ folder
   • Delete .Hyperspin folder
3. In C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\local (You will need access to view hidden items)
   • Delete hyperhq-updater folder
4. In C:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming (You will need access to view hidden items)
   • Delete HyperHQ folder
   • Delete Hyperspin folder
5. In C:\ProgramData
   • Delete Hyperspin
6. Delete everything in your Hyperspin install directory. 
   • 
7. Download latest HyperHQ version from website and setup.

I was also having issues on the previous version.  I would download the lastest HyperHQ release from the websitem instead of updating, if you haven't done so?  Also, I HyperspinCore  1.1.0 might take a while to download and install.  I clicked on update, and it's been stuck on "Installing" for the past 7 minutes.  Besides that, Hyperspin is working fine so far.

I completely cleared the Program, plus the other areas it installs, downloaded the most updated system, from downloads page and let it run.

when it comes to the plugin page, the Hyperspin core downloads and just sits there Extracting, so far its been running nearly 24 Hours.

As I said, I have also tried on a different Computer, but getting the same results.

Have you tried checking for system corruption just to narrow down your issue?

Please post your issue in the bug tracker. It needs looking into and that's the best place to keep track of it

Try deleting the plugins manually.  They would be located in your installation folder under plugins.  then start HyperHQ to rebuild.
