So always a learning process I just figured out today the higher the screen resolution

The lower the frame rate

So it finding a compromise between game pay and how it looks

On max 1400 x 768 resolution my machine drops down to a choppy 19fps

But if I set 800 x600 I can get 30fps

Such a shame the top resolution looks great

if you really want to test the fps of your fp install try running 3 Angels..

it was commonly known to be the FP framerate killer... its also a stunning table.

running 1920x1080 FS arcade mode (all options maxed out)

you will probably need a better gfx card than the 610.. i would say 560ti or equivalent at minimum for decent frame rates

Yup I have that table it's awesome ! I'll give it a go how does that work? 560ti is lower than 610 ; )

basically:

the 610 is a 6 series (6) base model (the 10) whereas the 560 is a series lower (5) but higher up the specification (60) - highest end is the 90's

so a 560 would be better than a 610, 620, 630, 640 & 650

GTX 560 Vs GTX 610

Significantly better passmark score 3,546 vs 352 More than 10x better passmark score

Significantly better 3DMark vantage graphics score 17,648 vs 1,820 Around 9.8x better 3DMark vantage graphics score

Significantly higher effective memory clock speed 4,200 MHz vs 1,200 MHz 3.5x higher effective memory clock speed

Higher clock speed 950 MHz vs 810 MHz More than 15% higher clock speed

Significantly better 3DMark06 score 16,518 vs 3,910 Around 4.2x better 3DMark06 score

Higher memory bandwidth 134.4 GB/s vs 9.6 GB/s More than 14x higher memory bandwidth

Better 3DMark 11 graphics score 4,013 vs 560 Around 7.2x better 3DMark 11 graphics score

Better floating-point performance 1,459 GFLOPS vs 155.5 GFLOPS Around 9.5x better floating-point performance

Higher texture rate 60.8 GTexel/s vs 6.48 GTexel/s Around 9.5x higher texture rate

Significantly more render output processors 32 vs 4 28 more render output processors

Higher pixel rate 15.2 GPixel/s vs 1.62 GPixel/s Around 9.5x higher pixel rate

Significantly better CLBenchmark raytrace score 132,987 vs 8,914 Around 15x better CLBenchmark raytrace score

Significantly higher memory clock speed 1,050 MHz vs 600 MHz 75% higher memory clock speed

More texture mapping units 64 vs 8 56 more texture mapping units

Wider memory bus 256 bit vs 64 bit 4x wider memory bus

Better passmark direct compute score 1,408 vs 203 Around 7x better passmark direct compute score

More shading units 384 vs 48 336 more shading units

a 560ti (if you can get one..) was around £200 mark when released the gtx 610 reatails at £30.

a gtx 650ti is a faster card than the 560ti and can be picked up for around £100

even the gtx 480 i offered you blows away the 610..

Much better 3DMark 11 graphics score 23,824 vs 560 More than 42.5x better 3DMark 11 graphics score

Significantly better passmark score 4,347 vs 352 More than 12.2x better passmark score

Significantly better 3DMark vantage graphics score 20,100 vs 1,820 More than 11x better 3DMark vantage graphics score

Significantly higher effective memory clock speed 3,696 MHz vs 1,200 MHz More than 3x higher effective memory clock speed

Significantly higher memory bandwidth 177.4 GB/s vs 9.6 GB/s Around 18.5x higher memory bandwidth

Many more render output processors 48 vs 4 44 more render output processors

Better floating-point performance 1,345 GFLOPS vs 155.5 GFLOPS Around 8.8x better floating-point performance

Higher pixel rate 21 GPixel/s vs 1.62 GPixel/s Around 13x higher pixel rate

Higher texture rate 42.1 GTexel/s vs 6.48 GTexel/s Around 6.5x higher texture rate

Significantly wider memory bus 384 bit vs 64 bit 6x wider memory bus

Significantly better CLBenchmark raytrace score 136,323 vs 8,914 More than 15.2x better CLBenchmark raytrace score

More texture mapping units 60 vs 8 52 more texture mapping units

Higher memory clock speed 924 MHz vs 600 MHz Around 55% higher memory clock speed

Better passmark direct compute score 1,604 vs 203 Around 8x better passmark direct compute score

More shading units 480 vs 48 432 more shading units

its actually a better performer than a 560, as it was the 80 (high end) model of the 4 series cards.
