senseless
I just wanted to share my arcade cabinet and the final results. The actual build took about two weeks and the last three to four months I invested in getting each and every emulator to work properly. The first boot was somewhere in December 2013 configured with hyperspin 1.0 and hyperHQ. In march I updated to HyperlaunchHQ. I just love the old arcade games via Mame and are now completely hooked to pinball (FP). Used I-Pac for the buttons and Pac-Drive and LedBlincky (registered) for led support. Ever since December the cabinet is used every week and even my wife is now hooked . This week I will install some custom Mortal Kombat side art and consider this project finished! I learned a lot from all you guys out there who build their own cabinet and shared their experiences and knowledge via this forum. I thank you all . Up next is my pinball cabinet which I plan to build in the upcoming weeks/month(s).

dieselboss78
Nice cabinet, dude! I however am not a carpenter, so I purchased an Xtension Premium XL Arcade Cabinet with X-Arcade Tankstick. lol

urbangangsta101
That kit is awesome, wish I bought one. Instead I have to spend hours sanding and repainting a knackered used cab....
vaad
Wow this is the best cab I have ever seen !!! ( sorry I have the same one )
senseless
Yeah really nice kit . For people who are interested it the kit see this link : http://www.arcadeworlduk.com/products/Flat-Pack-Upright-Arcade-Cabinet-Kit.html I would have loved to do the whole thing myself, but it just takes some many hours and I also need some spare time for gaming and my other hobbies .... Runadumb
I really shouldn't have clicked on this thread Soooooooooooo, how much are we talking after the sticks, artwork, speakers and all that nonsense? (Not monitor or PC parts). If anyone is comfortable answering that. I'm saving up for a new Kitchen and every month my car still works i'm pleasantly surprised, so realistically I can't do anything like this for probably a year, depending on overtime. However...the money is there, just "tied up". EDIT: Just priced it up to about £610 delivered. I'm unsure if I got everything though. The wiring kits are a bit confusing. Does that sound about right? Are those 5 watt speakers any use?
HazzardActual
wiring kits are almost pointless for a custom arcade like that. you're better off just buying a small spool of wire and a box of terminal ends. It takes a little time but it made me appreciate the project a little more.
senseless
Without PC and monitor I spend about 530 euro's. That's 400,- for the cabinet (incl postage), 50,- for the I-Pac and wiring (loved the wire chains for the button wiring, wouldn't say pointless), 30,- for the PAC drive and 50,- for printing decals. I used two 5 watt speakers and a spare creative labs sub. Sounds really nice.
