[Release] HyperSpin Manager

I wrote an application to help rename the files for game systems. I have been using this for a bit now and I think it works ok so I thought I would release it for all.

This application relies on the settings you enter into HyperHQ. You will need to specify your ROM path as well as whether or not to use a subfolder search. It also relies on the extensions in HyperHQ.

You need to unzip the EXE to a new folder of your choice.

When you run the application you will need to specify your HyperSpin root folder. Once you do this all of the systems will populate in the dropdown list. Select a system and then select a target (Roms, Wheels, Themes, etc). The application will fill in the extensions and whether or not to do a sub folder search based on your HyperHQ entries. Then click scan.

You will be shown all of the games and the ones in RED will be the ones that were unmatched. The bottom list shows you a list of the avilable files that can be assigned. All you need to do is select an unmatched file in RED and then double-click on one of the available files. That file will then be assigned to the unmatched entry. If you make a mistake and assign the wrong file, just double-click the unmatched entry in RED and it will clear the value. Once you are done assigning all games then click Update.

Note: The app will now allow you to rename a system.

WARNING:

Once you click UPDATE, the application will rename the file you chose to the name of the game so that they match.

Please give it a try if you wish.

Feedback always welcome.

Enjoy :)

Used this on the my TG16 collection and found I had 9 miss matched names. Easily fixed after reading your instructions, this program does exactly what it says. Thank you, nice work.

Would it be possible to add the ability to resize the window?

Do you mean maximize the window?

I am currently in 1280x1024 and when i run the program it seems to overlap the screen on both the right and left edges ..

Sorry, but its that same. I thought it might be related to having two lcd screens on this pc. So I disabled the second screen and tried .. but still the same overlapping. Its not a problem that would cause me to stop using your utility. Its very easy to use and helpful. Thank you again for creating it :)

OK I will make the screen smaller and see if that helps.

Look for an update soon

Yes, the screen size is fine now, but some text descriptions are cut short .. including the update button.

No problem. Enjoy

I am planning to add the ability to try and match files and populate the unmatched ones automatically and that way it will save some time

Anything to help save time with all there is to manage with these collections is a great addition, ty :D Bookmarked this thread and will be looking forward to any of your planned progress with this utility.

Agree. bookmarked as well. VERY nice program and runs very smooth.

I don't know how hard it would be to implement, but maybe a delete feature just incase you have any extra files you don't need. Not a big deal though. Thanks for the contribution.

Delete is easily done. I will make it so that you can highlight multiple files in the available list and it will delete them.

Firt off, fantastic program.

I am having a bit of trouble with it however, for one reason or another it is not showing all my games availabe even though the file extention is correct.

Do you have some time to trouble shoot this?

You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance.
