BladeZX Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 Firt off, fantastic program. I am having a bit of trouble with it however, for one reason or another it is not showing all my games availabe even though the file extention is correct. Do you have some time to trouble shoot this? What extension is giving the trouble? I am not seeing this here. It seems to show all of them. kslong29 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Yes great program! I've been looking for something exactly like this. A couple of ideas: Would it be too difficult to color-code the rows in the bottom window to identify files that are already assigned to determine if it's being used or not? Also what about an option when you double click the bottom file to match it automatically moves on to the next unmatched rom file? Doing a few updates isn't a big deal but when there's so many unmatched files as in my collection any little automation helps.
kslong29 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Never mind on my second suggestion of color coding, I just realized they are ALL unmatched. Perfect.
brian_hoffman Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 What extension is giving the trouble? I am not seeing this here. It seems to show all of them. Well, it was actually my fault. I had excess roms in my folders, so even after it mached them all I had a handful shown at the bottom. This I thought was an error and not showing all my roms, only realizing afterward it only shows what does not match. Thanks for the quick reply and excellent program. You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance.

I have added this feature to build 1.0.10 in the first post. Bartymouse Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 The tool got very important for my work with hyperspin, so i have some ideas if you´re interested in further functions .) i prefer to store my not used artwork/themes/and so on in folders like "Artwork2_disabled" or "Wheel_disabled" or "Themes_disabled" to keep the real folders clean. it would be nice, if there would be the possibility use a folder with "stored art" to complete settings e.g. select "genesis artwork2" -> hyperspin manager shows all roms and found/missing artwork then -> select a second folder (maybe "archiv/hyperspin/media/genesis/artwork2_library") and complete the missing artwork with the artwork of the selected folder (in this case the artwork should be copied or moved from one folder to another) .) sometimes i need an artwork file for 2 or more roms now: i copy the file 2 or more times, then complete the roms with the copied files idea: maybe there could be a function to copy artwork for roms with missing artwork (e.g. copy "Donkey Kong (USA).png" to "Donkey Kong (Europe).png" and "Donkey Kong (anywhere).png" maybe this work can be done with other tools (clrmame?), but your program is easy to use!
xtwistedsanityx Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 Sorry might be me, but I'm still getting the 1.0.9 version in the title bar when I try and download 1.0.10. If its me sorry!! HyperGrade 97%
Bartymouse Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 although hypersync is released, i still use hyperspin manager to manage my artwork a little bug: artwork which is not 100% exactly named with the same capitals isn´t correct detected e.g. romfile = "Super Mario Bros." artwork2= "SUPER Mario Bros." -> hyperspin manager doesn´t detect that they are the same and shows the file "SUPER Mario Bros." in the unmatched list. update: after all files match hyperspin manager doesn´t show the files, which aren´t matching (which aren´t needed) i would like to see which files aren´t needed so that i can sort them out (better would be a button, which moves unneeded artwork to another folder) thanks
Muty Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 Hey, I just wanted to drop by and say thanks. This is just what I was looking for, a tool that I can audit my rom and artwork files with.
Bonky0013 Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Thanks for your great Manager I like it ^^ Just one question Is it possible if you can ( for wheel or art renaming ) to add 2 or more wheel ( ex: (beta) , rev a, rev b .... ) with only 1 **.png ? Regards from france

Sir Cyrano Posted May 21, 2013 Posted May 21, 2013 Can you put some screenshots of your program ?? in the main post please.
JoeC3109 Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I set up my hyperspin root directory, and I can scan the databases just fine, but no files are coming up in the bottom window. My rom paths are all correct in HyperHQ because I have no issue running any of them out of hyperspin. Any ideas?
manslaughter Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 thank you for this. works like a charm to rename my roms
