Hey everyone! I'm going to attempt to explain the theme that I'm looking for/requesting if it doesn't exist so please bear with me

Basically, I love HyperSpin the way it is but I want it to be more "appliance-like". I boot my computer to XBMC and launch HyperSpin from there, and even though I like HyperSpin's general look and feel (default wheel position, default images and setup with only a few customization's) I would like to make things look a little more......professional? I just don't like all the extra arcade "flash" that HS has with it's pink bubble backgrounds and such. I'm not trying to diss the program and honestly I'm not looking to change a whole lot because I think, while some of the global themes I've found look neat, they tend to take away the life that HS has. I guess if anyone understands what I'm getting at and has read all of this so far, I mainly just want a cleaner main menu with something little to go with it because I want to keep the wheels the way they look, the individual game themes the same way, and the custom look of each individual console with things like unique wheels, letters, pointers, etc.

Sorry if this sounds silly or misinformed but I'm just trying to see what's out there that would compliment the finishing touch to my setup

Unified megatheme is probably the best choice for an htpc with shelled xbmc.

Some advice: deactivate interstitial background and other stuff (hyperHQ->optimize, I dont' remember every single option, just try it out). Delete ALL wheel mp3 from "wheel sound" and keep only "wheel click.mp3"

I'm working on aeon nox theme but it will take some time for info artwork creation and other stuff, here's a quick wip test (it's stretched as i'm using a 4:3 monitor to design it but i'ts designed for 16:9). "Genre" is a test for the main wheel, it will use this wheelset http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?36625-Darklight-main-menu-wheel-%28HTPC-XBMC-oriented%29 (preview contains "standard" HS systems)

That's a really nice theme man. I think I saw that the other night as I was looking through the forums, but I don't think it's quite what I was looking for. I do have Aeon Nox though! Also, I will look at disabling the interstitial backgrounds like you said. I appreciate that as I think that's one of my biggest issues. I want one solid background (instead of pink squares and HS circles that look like a child's birthday party lol) so keep the main menu looking more like an appliance but when I click on a system I basically want to keep that the same with the individual game themes and such.

Probably my biggest OCD pet peeve on the main menu is for a system like GameCube for example, along with PS2 and PSP the console's wheel font is black and tends to blend it with alot of the backgrounds which bothers me. I want the system to stand out and not the flash and animation around it. I totally get it for arcades and table-tops but I like mine to be more along the lines of a console under my TV. Hope that made sense haha

By the way dark13, is there anywhere that I could find sounds for every system? I'm thinking it would be nice to disable all sounds except wheel click on the main menu BUT have custom sounds for each individual system. It seems like only a few consoles like NES, SNES, N64, and Genesis have their own sounds but no other consoles are available....

HyperHQ->wheel setting->chose wheel->wheel->wheel text you can change wheel text font, gradient and other stuff.

Never get into system sound, I alway preferred a simple "click"
