Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Hi I have set up NEC PC Engine-CD with RetroArch my rom collection are zip inside CCD IMG SUB RetroArch don't support ccd whats best way around this is there a app to make cues or is it redownload a different set
gigapig Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I tried setting this up this morning but get an error from HL asking for the syscard3. Anyway, my images are cue and iso and the cue file loads manually in Retroarch. Have you tried running the game in Retroarch? An alternative to downloading them again would be to convert if possible or try another emu, which probably has it's own problems; Magic Engine I'm looking at you
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 syscard3 yup bios got that put in Retroarch folder with other bios worked because u need it for PC Engine had this same prob with my neo geo cd but downloaded them again think convert be best not sure what converter to grab
gigapig Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Yeah I put that file in the system folder but still no joy. I'll figure it out. Your quickest course of action would be to get the Hyperspin ready set off of PD @ 38gb.
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Think this set is from there ill grab 1 and check
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Ok got working with mednafen the syscard3 goes in firmware and it mounts the ccd file no controller settings what I can see of

I'll figure it out.Your quickest course of action would be to get the Hyperspin ready set off of PD @ 38gb. The PD pack is true rip, so its in ccd, img, sub; doesnt work with retroarch. I got the same problem with the last git version of retroarch... even with de syscard in the correct directory, the module cant find..... changed back to a previous version and worked. I think that the problem is the module.
bartmarley Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I also tried to find a way to convert ccd/img to cue/bin but it's a dead end
alexminasepm Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I also tried to find a way to convert ccd/img to cue/bin but it's a dead end Tried the same with ultra iso..... the solution for me was to download games iso +cue. Now i have the full set sega cd, pc engine cd and turbogafx cd in iso, cue format.
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Humm tryed that i got a couple of games from EP they was iso and cue did not work for me must of missed something
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 There was an error waiting for the window "RetroArch ahk_class RetroArch". Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem hummmmmmm

hypermame55 Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 I had the same problem so I tried Ootake for the emulator and it works. You just have to make sure you follow the few notes in the AHK file so everything syncs up.
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Got a few systems on my RetroArch don't really want to change version plus downloading each rom separate take a while the roms i have are the ccd img sub from PD i tryed Ootake getting some info about ram not sure what to press
Awakened Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Mednafen added ccd support a little while back, so if you use a new enough test build of RetroArch and the core it should be able to load those. I haven't tested that format with pce_fast myself yet though (I tried one with the PSX core and it worked). My PCE CD rips are in bin/cue or iso/cue and have no problems.

Your correct, I downloaded 1 archive from the set on PD, Bomberman. Retroarch saw the ccd file and loaded it no problem. I use v1.0.0.2.
Emu54 Posted October 8, 2014 Author Posted October 8, 2014 Strange same version as me wonder if it my Module
gigapig Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Strange same version as me wonder if it my Module btw, I never ran through HL just in Retro, I'll try that now.
gigapig Posted October 8, 2014 Posted October 8, 2014 Tells me that ccd is not supported True, you'll need to edit the module so it can work with .ccd instead. Firstly backup the module. Open the RetroArch.ahk in notepad++ Find line 183, which is (Edit, see following. Should be line 150) { If romExtension != .cue Change it to { If romExtension != .ccd It does work.
Emu54 Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 Still no look my Module has a ! in hyperlauch hq invalid crc made a copy
gigapig Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Still no look my Module has a ! in hyperlauch hq invalid crc made a copy If you edit any module you get that, but it doesn't stop you using it. If it bothers you though, you'll have to either wait for an official release or you may have to ask for it to be added.
Emu54 Posted October 9, 2014 Author Posted October 9, 2014 ok not sure why wont work but thanks for your time
