relic Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 this is a brillaint way to make a ps3 control or ps4 gamepad fuction like a xbox 360 gamepad. I was at a point that i was gonna give up and buy another 360 pad cause my ps3 analog triggers stopped fuctioning i thought to myself if its not working on pc then it must be broken completely. For the ps3 console, However i was a sucker for it i tried it on the ps3 and to my suprise it fuctioned nicely still on the ps3 console. Dont you just hate it when a ps3 control has trouble finding the right driver etc and fuctioning wrong it may be the case you need a a driver and app for it well not anymore. Sometimes you see the middle triggers on the analog arent fuctioning but work fine on the ps3 console well this puts an end to all your problems you can make controls fuction with out a ds3 APP or driver and heres how to do it, first you will need a ps3 controller 2nd a blue tooth adaptor once you have both those items follow this guide and when its done youl be laughing 3rd youl need a mini usb cable plugged into the ps3 control bottom line is im not sure if this method works on win 7 tho 100%
sevenseal Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 imo, I feel this is better and this method function directly as a 360 controller. volumetric Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 This is a much better option all round, works on XP and W7: http://emulation-general.wikia.com/wiki/SCP_Driver_Package
relic Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 i had that and it screwd up many times 100%
volumetric Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Had it installed on 2 machines for at least 6 months now, never had a problem. EDIT: From memory (i haven't looked at it in long time, as i said, never had a problem with it), it has some pretty flexible mapping options. Also, it installs as a service that starts automatically with windows, so you dont have to start better DS3 every time you boot.
relic Posted November 6, 2014 Author Posted November 6, 2014 my problem is the r3 and l3 button decided to not work at all on pc i tried many methods to try fix it even so it fuctioned on ps3 no matter what i thought my control was broken or something but i think it kept installing the wrong ps3 driver 100%
Hyperion Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Interested to see new ways of connecting a DS3 but I don't think I'll be trying it personally. ScarletCrush's DS3 wrapper that sevenseal mentioned has worked perfectly for me. Hasn't ever let me down. The button_on_guide2 rounds out the package for mapping the PS button. I said it worked perfectly but I forgot that I've never been able to get the rumble to work on any of the solutions. @Sevenseal: does the rumble work for you? sevenseal Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 yes it does, never lost r3 or l3 button press on it either
sevenseal Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 @relic, I heard of many incident where there were issue when previously installments of motion2joy, and other solutions would conflict your current setup... even uninstall these old methods required some manual removal of it leftovers
volumetric Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I heard of many incident where there were issue when previously installments of motion2joy, and other solutions would conflict your current setup... even uninstall these old methods required some manual removal of it leftovers Thank you for reminding me sevenseal, i completely forgotten that was the one problem I had when i installed scp. That motionjoy stuff was a bastard to get rid of and it messes with scp till you get rid of it.
