LSDguy
Hey guys, I have an old ASUS Eeepc that I would like to use for a fun icade build. The only problem I have is how can I detach the monitor and extende the cable that connects the monitor to the base of the small netbook. LSDguy
Could I buy these and interconnect them http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0089H0ZDI?pc_redir=1413710830&robot_redir=
Polemicist
I was about to ask what the cable looked like. If it was a ribbon cable from end to end I would have said you are screwed. But that cable. Is doable. Extending that round cable. Would still require soldering but much easier to do and much less pain.

Styphelus
Just buy a new monitor or a refurbished one. By the time you're done buying all the supplies you need and look at the amount of time required, you might as well just spend the money on a proper monitor. I once wanted to build a steering wheel for my PC. When I was done adding up all the components, it would have been more expensive than buying a refurbished Logitech Momo wheel so I bought that instead. LSDguy
Yeah, thanks brother, but the idea is a for a small icade build. Using this small PC I have. There are some ten inch monitors out there but I'm trying to spend very little.

LSDguy
Yeah, sort of detach the screen and turn the screen around while still connected to the mainboard and keyboard?
LSDguy
But it would be flipped around for use on the inside. So it should still work. I'll consider it and post something when I get to work on ot
