For xpadder can you send me exactly what to paste in the ini? The other post had some "" in it so I wasn't sure about it. The path was exact, I copied the path and put /xpadder.exe at the end for the target. For the profile I did the same thing and put /p1.xpadderprofile at the end. Maybe I did something wrong?

Hi , here is what is on my hypersearch.ini , for me on start & on exit works nice :

OnStartExecutable=Z:\HYPERSPIN\Controller\Xpadder.exe

OnStartParameters="Z:\HYPERSPIN\controller\Hyperspin\blank.xpadderprofile"

OnExitExecutable= Z:\HYPERSPIN\Controller\Xpadder.exe

OnExitParameters="Z:\HYPERSPIN\controller\Hyperspin\Hyperspin.xpadderprofile"

the "" are not compulsory , just in case of "spaces" on path or name , so with or without "" doesn't matter if your path have no spaces.

please send me your hypersearch.ini & hypersearchdatabase.dat for checking ,

also , i want to know if the popup that goes grey happens only with favorites creation or with any search on mode "show" or "create".

here is the last version , i'm not sure if it will solved all problems , maybe just for point 2 & 3.

Xpadder now works which was #1. I see results then name for saving results now which was #2.i see the genre list as a complete rotating wheel again that's #3.

#4 I deleted my all favorites then recreated it. It found 1902 fav and it loaded real nice, perfect actually. I said alright time to play with it, when I went to edit it I saw 1902 which is the first time ever and I pressed yes. The pop up came up but it was grey. I see the + and - for sorting and the ok button now but no list. I was able to X out and not esc this time. When I try to edit again, this time it says 1670. That's bad

#5 not sure if it's related but I checked my results genre which was a wario search. Before I played with favorites on #4 the wheel had all its wheel art, video and themes display, I noticed that some gameboy, gameboy color, and gameboy advance things are missing. I updated media to fix it but thought it was strange. 15 items were updated it said

Ok , i've tried to solved #4 on this new beta version , it's a bit difficult because i've try many different setting for editing favorites (with your databases folder) , but i've never get a grey pop up as you mentioned.

for #5 do you mean that "check medias" solve problem of medias missing ?

I'll try tonight, thanks. For #5 yes check media fixed them but what's wierd is everything was fine and there until the grey pop up, then I looked around and saw the results missing a few media. Check media fixed it but I can't help to think it's related to the grey popup. I'll test tonight. Each time it gets better

I'm closing the books on this, great job! I suggest you create a new thread like we talked about advertising this as an ultimate favorites generator and datbase search. Calling it hypersearch is confusing it with the other hypersearch. Yours is more of a database edittor into a new wheel with searching as a nice side effect product. Advertise that this is a new wheel and allows you to create genres for that wheel to you hearts content. Most hyperspiners will use this to have "themed" genre wheels for all systems and for ultimate favorite wheels and groupings

I suggest including these bullets as an intro to your reveal

+ create/edit/save favorite genres that stretch across all systems in one genre wheel

+ create/edit/save themed genres that stretch across all systems (ie create a Mario wheel from all systems) in one genre wheel

+create/edit/save console favorites, handheld favorites, arcade favorite genre wheels etc

+search for keywords to view a temporary search result genre. You can save the results as a genre if you like and use the results often

+ as you update your media, you can sync the genres media here by pressing a button so your new media is always up to date in the genre wheels here

Also to eliminate text, just provide an English instruction for set up. There is a frecnch version of the forum,you could add the French there. Try to keep this one as simple as possible. I admit I almost overlooked this because of all the text you had. The video is the only thing that made my ears perk up. Thanks again

As you said , i think this app is almost overlooked because of Title app that already exist and bi-language tuto .

I will create a new post on third party program and on hyperspin french forum, with a new name app. Maybe "Hyper Tool" if no other existing app get this name.

I will also recreate the hypersearch video with the new functions to made ears perk up those who need this tool .

I've been watching this thread for a while. I will definitely check this out. I'm pretty happy with the other "Hypersearch" but I'm excited to try this out.

Dime me too hypersearch is good in its own right for as hoc searching. While this does that too boy does it give you the power to automatically save custom wheels from multiple systems. Say you want all your fav from All your systems in one wheel. This can do that! This one has a little more power in general though the ad hoc search isn't as sexy as hypersearch. This tool supports png though :-)

hi , i was thinking about add an "export function" in order to export medias , & xml results on a new main menu item.

hyperspin experience will be increased by creating main menu wheels by genre or years , or just keywords , like simpson or Spiderman , etc...

I think most hyperspin users want that possibility. So i will add this function during next week , if you're still ok to test...

Also , with this new tool i 'm thinking for a name like "Hyper-Extension-Spin" or "HyperWheelSpin"

I'm not sure I'd be entirely interested in adding more to the system wheel, I have like 55 of them. Hypersearch genres I created totaled like 20 of them. I like them where they are but maybe poll the community to see if it's worth it or not. I'm content with version 1 for sure though.

Ok , final version have been released , same as last one but with new name : HyperXMLspin.

also some problems are now fixed :

problem on first show results that not appears --> fixed

problem on clone vids and themes that not appears --> fixed

problem of name application that already exist --> fixed

Great work and thanks again. Yes I don't use clone games so that's very possible and I of course have done 25 plus searches already. Good find. What's the name application thing? Maybe you mean I couldn't rename v11?
