mrid269 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Hi, Some day I hope. Would it be possible Hyperspin would run on a raspberry pi?
baddeolv Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Wouldn't count on it. It would have to be recoded from the floor up. Instagram : baddeolv Facebook : Brian Addeo
Agrajag Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 No. HS needs a decent spec PC running Windows, which rules out the Pi. HyperSpin behaving oddly? Read about known bugs here: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/4590-known-bugs-and-handy-hints-for-hyperspin/ The installer for HyperSpin now includes HyperLaunch 2. Go here for support: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/122-hyperlaunch-2/ HyperLaunch3 is now called RocketLauncher. mrid269 Posted December 2, 2014 Author Posted December 2, 2014 Yea. That would be nice if it ran on a pi. Thanks for the feedback.
Xtra9268 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Wouldn't count on it. It would have to be recoded from the floor up. The Pi's hardware would have a difficult time handling the animation. If you do make this might I suggest a "HyperGrid" for Raspberry Pi? Basically a grid-like arrangement of available games with no animation or videos. Maybe when the Raspberry Pi E+ comes out it'll have the horsepower to handle animation.
jcrowley30 Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 Has anyone looked into the MIPS Creator CI20? That is still not powerful enough but gets closer. http://www.trustedreviews.com/news/creator-ci20-lands-as-new-raspberry-pi-rival
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I know its cheating but I do have it running in my bedroom on the R-Pi!! Im cheating but it does run without any problems You may already know this but, if you have a NVidia GPU 600 series or better you can stream your desktop, game, movie or whatever you want to any device in your house (some limitations) on your home network. It means that I can sit in bed and play Hyperspin and any PC game I want... all through my Pi with my Xbox controller. Also managed to get my 360 dongle to work on it too which is epic as no more wires It does of course mean that you have to have a PC that can run it on the network... but yes, its possible. Also great if you want to build a beefy cab, yet keep it small or wacky design. Only problems I have found yet hardly notice is that it only displays at a maximum of 720p Simply Austin's YouTube
