Yes that would be nice, but the question is how you can share them.

Thank you, downloading now!

Some of them are really large in size, one is over 60MB and a lot of them are 20-30MB, will have to resize them, I want about 30-45 seconds and not more than 2MB

I´m sad to say that this set of videos is totally crazy, "DigitalConcert_v1.0_FlashProduction.mp4" is 35MB and 27 seconds long, while "DigitalNoises.mp4" is 50MB and 7:47 long.

Some of them have only the intro even before any music starts and some of them seems to be almost the whole demo.

I wonder who put this set together and as you see "Digital concert..." has version number etc. and "DigitalNoises" doesn´t.

Maybe there are some that I can use, but it´s almost the same work to rezize them as it is to rip them from WinUAE

There are demos that I couldn´t start at all in WinUAE, hopefully I can find them here in this set.

But they are whdload demos, they should run everywhere?

Tell me which ones don't run and your uae settings and i'll try to help ya out!

BTW, if you are going through the painstaking mission of recording all videos, be sure you read up on the emumovies rules, that way you can submit them to emumovies, that would be ace, and it would mean they could be included in hypersync etc in the future.

Where can I find the rules?

I have been searching but I can´t find them.

I have recorded about half the demos now and it´s ongoing :)

Almost all videos recorded now.

I didn´t record Sexvens or any of the Stag demos because of the contents (porn) and also because all videos froze in WinUAE, at least with the settings i use atm.

I will not keep those demos in my own xml anyway.

Still missing a few videos because of various errors in WHDLoad, I will come back and tell exactly which didn´t work and what the error was.

I´m not sure if the videos will be accepted by emumovies as some of them have graphic issues and I never got WinUAE to show the whole screen of the Amiga, missing a bit at the bottom which can be seen in some demos.

But then again - it´s not such a important set as games so maybe they can use them anyway.

I´m not sure if I got it right, do they want the avi files? Then it will take ages for me to upload with my 0.8Mb line :(

It would be better if I could upload just the mp4 files.

huh? your UAE settings seems really borked... i wish you had said that before doing a whole set of broken movies, that way we could have worked it out..?

Have you recorded them all manually?

Posted

All done - almost...

Here are the demos I have some trouble with:

AudioViolation - graphic issues

AudioX -

Iraq - recorded a bit, but doesn´t work properly

Love - Error during resload_Relocate while relocating executable on address $41E6C000 at offset $2E8

MinaOmistan - no video only music and black screen

OneStone - Exception "Address Error" ($B00C) at $208D2 occured

PixeledPleasures - Exception "Line 1111 Emulator" ($2c) at $4 occured

Prime90 - Extremely slow graphics?

PsygnosisMusicPictureDisk - Slave missing, need adf disks for a reinstall

Rampage - Exception "Line 1111 Emulator" ($2c) at $38066 occured

WhenWeRide - Exception "Line 1111 Emulator" ($2c) at $41CFD850 (ExpMem $9B880) occured

Yes, recorded all of them manually.

I could do it again, but I don't think it's necessary, it's only a preview of about 25 seconds, not videos of the whole demo.

But I would like to have the missing ones recorded as well.

I didn´t crop any of the movies as it cant be done automatically, not with Handbrake that is, sometimes it crops the video so the scrollers disappear too.

When I began the recordings I made the videos 45 sec to 1 min long, but that was too much so I changed to about 15 to 30 sec

Some of the longer are still in the collection but I might record them again or edit the ones I´ve got to make them shorter.

When all of them are converted to MP4 I will upload them to a server and hopefully if anyone wants them I can make them downloadable for others.

All demos that worked, (593) are converted to MP4 and they work in Hyperspin.

Anyone who wants them? Where can I upload?

How can I setup WinUAE so it can run all demos?

As you see in the list in post #38 I have trouble with some demos.

The raytraced toilet in Hardwired doesn´t work at all.

My settings are:

A1200

CPU 68020, 24 bit (have tried 68030 too to get more RAM and have tried FPU 68881 at least 1 demo need FPU)

KS ROM v3.1 (A1200) rev 40.68

2MB Chip

4MB or 8MB Fast

Z3 32MB (only together with 68030 or 68020 no 24bit)

Display 640x480 windowed, no border (I know, it doesn´t meet the native resolution)

Not everything will work 100% still. That is why there are still updates being released. Could be the WHDLoad version that is to new for an old WHDLoad demo slave, etc etc..

Edit: I tried WHDload 17.2 and 18.0 but toilet is still busted. My bet is that it needs an updated slave.

Edit2: Yeah, that demo was made from a bad source it seems. http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=69835&highlight=hardwired+toilet

I'll check if we can get it updated.

Edit3: Hmm, it WAS fixed in 2013. Makes me wonder why I still have the old version in the demo pack as I keep it updated. I'll have to investigate.

For now, try this one http://www.grandis.nu/downloads/Hardwired.zip

Thanks!

Hardwired is a hard one - now the raytraced toilet work, but instead Gele Vectors and Shadow Vectors doesn´t work properly.

Both of them leaves traces of graphics when moving around.

Hehe, I just spend 2 hours creating a script so that I could find all older games I have when there are newer one available. It found one difference... Hardwired.

Guess I can use it on the games as well to make sure I have not missed any updates there as well...

Nice!

Have you got Hardwired to work 100% anywhere?

I have only tried it in WinUAE as my A1200 doesn´t work, I managed to unsolder the whole CXA1145 chip when trying to repair my S-video out fix. :(

Have not tried it really to be honest. I spent all day going through the games and demos packages.

While I was at it, I updated the demos pack with the latest 2.3 update and the demos that came after that. Remade the whole set on the FTP to be safe (new database too).

615 demos now.

Games are not done yet.

Edit: Same problems with Hardwired here. Gonna try it on a real A1200.

Edit2: Games are fine. No changes made there.

Yea those problems does indeed sound like broken slaves.

You could try with some tooltypes, nocache, leavevbr, nommu, nofast etc.

Same thing on real hardware by the way. tooltips could solve it but it happens so far into the demo that I do not have the time to test it for 5 seconds of graphics glitches =)

OK, then it´s not only the emulator.

Deleted one more duplicate: VectorDemo is the same as VectorDemoProphetsAG

My set now contains 599 demos (Sexvens and all Stag demos removed)

I use a mix of the wheels that spotUP had and my own screenshots where wheels are missing.

Still missing some wheels and I must say some demos are so boring that no good screenshots can be made.

I´m sorry to say that the set from spotUP are a bit of a pain, they are good but I wonder how many of them aren´t correct.

I have renamed at least 10 of them and these are then ones I´ve found of a coinsidence, there can be moore.

Take this for an example: the wheel for the demo called just "MegaDemo" was actually for "MegaDemoAlcatraz"

There was another wheel for "MegaDemo" and that was "MegaDemoPseudoPlast"

Most of the wheels were named after the set of roms that spotUP use and some had the names that Turranius use.

I am now using the naming convention that Turranius use for everything.

All roms, wheels and videos are named after the xml I got from Turranius, all wheels from spotUP renamed and I´m missing let´s say about 50 wheels.

Wheels and videos could probably be done better, the videos are ok, screenshots are ok - sort of.

I like the disk images in spotUP´s set, I have only taken simple screenshots.

How much am I allowed to upload to the FTP here? All videos takes about 1GB

The whole Commodore Amiga Demos set takes almost 2GB

See a lot bigger uploaded...could you upload and leave on for a week or so?
