potatoguy Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 serious question. Are these sets in Mame? What would the point be to hang onto these sets otherwise? are there any standalone arcade sets not in mame? Thanks
zerojay Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 All those sets are in MAME already with the lone exception of Triforce (probably too new still). That said, just because they are in MAME doesn't mean they are actually emulated or even emulated well by MAME yet.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Raine? I thought thaty was more of an Emu rather than a group of games? Zinc, yes and they work very well if you have an up to date version of MAME... in fact better than the actual Zinc Emu and much more easy to use. Naomi, again yes. However they will not work with MAME. You have to use a dif format to use with a dif emu such as Demul or NullDC Naomi specific builds. again each emu requires a specific file format. Naomi 2... same as Naomi 1 Model 2... from what I can remember yes. But the same issues as Naomi. Requires a Emulator with a specific version of the Roms. (Nice emulation BTW ad great games!) Triforce. Requires Dolphin. Again its a specific build made for the Triforce games. Off the top of my head, 3 games work. 2 versions of Mario Kart and a version of Virtua Striker 2002 although for some reason people still say its 2006... not from what I can see. Emulation if very fussy on its emu, its roms and how its setup but very do'able. Hiope it helps Simply Austin's YouTube
