HyperHQ Rom Name

So I'm setting up HyperHQ, I managed to get mame configured correctly, and now I'm attempting to configure Visual Boy Advance, I've set the options as Normal Execution, full path to roms, search subfolders, however Hyperspin refuses to open my Roms, it displays them, artwork shows up etc, but it passes the name of the rom, to the executable, instead of the full file name.

For example, instead of C:\roms\gba\filename.zip it passes C:\roms\gba\Game Name.zip - this behavior is fine for Mame, since mame just takes the name of the rom and uses that, but there doesn't seem to be a setting to pass the full file name to other programs, unless I'm missing something; the only other alternative is to rename all my roms, but that seems rather silly and time consuming.

any suggestions?

Use HyperLaunch

That doesn't really solve the specific problem, but I did download hyperlaunch, but it's really buggy and awful, refuses to add systems; adding systems appears to work, but they never get added to the systems list on the left panel, so hyperlaunch flat out refuses to work, which is why I was trying to set up the emulators manually - which i should be able to do.

although I worked out that the game names are stored in an xml file, so I guess I have to manually rename all my roms to match, wonderful.

Following the steps in the link below should clear up your hyperlaunch issues.

Here is a short but detailed explanation of the database structure.

Good luck and happy hyperspinning.

if you don't want to use Hyperlaunch, you should not be using Hyperspin.

Plain and simple; you are not going to get many emulators to launch and do a proper exit when using the "Normal" execution.

you don't add systems in Hyperlaunch or HyperlaunchHQ, You need to add them with HyperHQ.

When you set Hyperespin as your default Front-end, all the systems you added in HyperHQ will be added to your HyperlaunchHQ window.

Thanks for all the links guys, I'll be sure to check them out later on tonight after uni; I'll try and give hyper launch another try.

I did manage to get Visual Boy advance to open/close cleanly and load roms (I managed to use Don's Tools for renaming which made everything much faster) using the manual method, but fceux on the other hand seems to crash after hitting the exit hotkey, meaning it doesn't return to hyperspin - and so hyper-launch might be helpful there.
