Does anyone have VisualBoyAdvance running instead of VBA-M?

I ask because for some reason, I cannot get VBA-M to work correctly on my new setup. Whenever I start the program, my screen turns black and it says to change the resolution of my external device....I tried to do that, but nothing solved this problem...not even deleting the program and redownloading it.

VisualBoyAdvance works great outside of HyperSpin, but there is no module within HyperLaunchHQ for it. I thought I might have been able to get away with VBA-M module, but that gave me errors that I am not skilled to fix.

Is there a VisualBoyAdvance module out there? if not, does anyone know how I can do a fix to VBA-M?

thanks for any help

I ran into the same issue when I first came over to HyperLaunch. ;)

I did manage to the VBA-M running, but I don't think I got that type of error.

Can you get it to run outside HyperSpin and HyperLaunchHQ?

Post your vbam.ini with code tags and i'll be glad to take a peek.

Thanks,

Ron

why don't you switch to Mednafen?

you can consolidate most of the Nintendo (classic) library to Mednafen.

NES

GBA

GB

GBC

SNES

VirtualBoy

VBA-M was my favorite Gameboy emulator, but noticed that the ESC key is mapped to the window resolution;

Press ESC: toggle between window and full screen

this could cause a potential problem with the default ESC key mapped as your exit button. You can disable it, but why bother when Mednafen does such a great job.

Thanks for the reply.

I was at a friends house today when I first read your response. You saying that you would look at the vbam.ini gave me an idea. I ended up downloading vbam at his house and transferred the vbam.ini over to my pc, which ended up working great. I don't know why, but every time I tried to edit my ini, it would have no affect when I started the program, but this seemed to work.

thanks for indirectly helping me come to a solution, i appreciate it.

I have never been able to get Mednafen to work correctly, so I always avoided it. I don't mind having multiple emulators.
