Beardedgamer23 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 As title says don't know where or how to map my xbox 360 pad use with playstation 1 also still struggling with dreamcast
32assassin Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 each emulator has its own read me file, and a support forum. it would help us to help you, if you at least told us what emulator you are using.
Beardedgamer23 Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 Problem is I'm new to this hence using these forums As I got this setup already done for me I'm just struggling with getting a few things to how I want them I got most systems I want to use to work correctly but I am struggling with playstation 1 and dreamcast Think it's set up to use npsx Correct me if this is wrong Thanks
32assassin Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 using this forums has nothing to do with your system. you might want to ask the person who set up your system for help. if you have no clue on what you are doing. I'm not sure what emulator npsx is. you could have any of the following emulators: ePSXe Mednafen PCSXR PSXfin Xebra or RetroArch with any of the above cores and many others I might be missing, point is, you need to open the emulator in a window (outside of hyperspin) and configure your keys according to the emulators instructions. each emulator will have different instructions.
Beardedgamer23 Posted March 5, 2015 Author Posted March 5, 2015 I understand that I need to do what u have said I just carnt get the settings to stay once I leave that and fire up hyperspin they don't work all my other main systems I use are fine I'm looking for help not negativity towards a question I have asked on a forum which users with experience can share there help I'm not to clued up with hyperspin I am slowly learning which I'm sure you understand being you once was in my shoes
vampirolatino2 Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 So..... what emulator is it? So we can help you.
Beardedgamer23 Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Hi What I found in my emulater folder is retroarche and epsxe
gigapig Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 It only took 5 posts. if you don't want negativity (and I don't feel 32assassin was being negative), please post as much info as you can so people here can have a chance at helping. This hobby requires some basic understanding of software, emulation and hardware. If you don't have that you need to seek help from whoever sold you the system.
Beardedgamer23 Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 I do apologise I am learning slowly Didn't realise there was that many emulators for it I'm willing to learn myself won't take me long to get to grips with it all So am sorry
gigapig Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 This going to be very tricky if someone else set yours up. If they used RetroArch for PS1 then the controls should work out of the box with a 360 controller, unless they messed with it. But seeing as epsxe is there its probably using that, but how do we know for sure, do you know what version of HyperLaunch your using? You need to find the folder with the emulator, run it and find the control mapping section, and have a go mapping your controller. Most people here would recommend that you try setting up HyperSpin separately and learn how to do it, but keep what you have. My video guides may also help you understand how things work, also check YouTube for guides for setting the emulators.
vampirolatino2 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 If is epsxe you can configure the controller in the device options. Go to the emulator folder, run the epsxe.exe or follow this video:
