It's fun to create so keep the ideas coming. I am working on a bigger update with the tab version I mentioned before. Jay

This can't be accomplished on paper without stapling a copy of every other document to the primary one, and even then is less effective to flip through pages rather than clicking the reference.

Also on the media checker screen added a button at the bottom to export to MS Ecel. obviousley you need excel installed for this to work. I need to add a progress bar for the excel export. You can get the update from within the program Tool->Check for updates. If you get an error, it may be caused by me changing the "certificate" because I had to reinstall my operating system, hard drive went bad. The issue is the dataview or table that is displayed is not linked to a dataset like a database. Still looking into a solution, I want this feature too. gixxerrider73 Posted March 26, 2013 Author Posted March 26, 2013 It's been awhile since I'v posted anything. I've updated the program to version 2.0 which is a tabbed system. I've added the function to match ROMs by their CRC value which will save a lot of time renaming files or matching manually. I've included a new Manual to docuemnt the program changes. I've tested the CRC feature on MAME with 10735 entires, it takes awhile and I recommend just letting the program run while working on such a large list. To upgrade to this version choose Tools->Check for updates. Changed export feature from Excel to a txt file. It is ";" delimited so it can easily be brought into excel. 2. Added feature to check all of the systems in your main menu file at once. If you have this tool installed just right click and choose update. The new version should be 2.0.0.9. Jay

gixxerrider73 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 Alex, Thanks for the feedback. I haven't seen the issue you descried. Is it possible for you to send me a screen shot of the error? Are you using Windows 8? It was designed for 32 bit but runs on 64 bit Win 7 fine. I use Win 7 bit. Unfortunately, I won't be returning to the excel version. Many people don't have excel that's why I created the stand alone version. Also excel uses VBA not the full VB so some features are not possible in excel. I haven't worked on this tool in some time. I'll be happy to address the issue you're having. I could send you an EXE version to install but then you will not be able to update it in the future. Although I doubt I update it further. Jay
gixxerrider73 Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Alex, I updated the program to add a Zip/Unzip utility. The latest version is 2.0.0.20. You may have encountered the problem you did because my temporary signing certificate expired I January. Also, if you have the program installed and want to update it, don't go to the webpage to install it again, you will get an error. All you need to do when in the program is right-click and choose update. Please let me know how it works for you. Jay

Please go to the address www.hyperspintools.us don't use a bookmark and make sure you see version 20. Also, be sure your antivirus software is not blocking it. I'm using Win 7 Pro 64bit so it should work fine for you. If it does not work, we can try teamviewer, will need to be on the weekend due to our time difference. gixxerrider73 Posted June 17, 2014 Author Posted June 17, 2014 By the way, I'm working on a new feature to create Genre Menus like we have for MAME for all systems. You can create your own genre.xml and "shooting Games.xml, Basketball Games.xml etc. This is a pretty cool feature to add.
