warpig Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Several of my systems, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis in particular, run really slowly when I enable Bezels but are fine if I don't have a bezel. I've tried various different bezels from the FTP by different people but the result is always the same. Anybody got any ideas?
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 I know a few people who have this problem. And to my knowledge I am not sure it has been worked out 100%. A good start maybe to ry another Module. Try D3D or another settings for the GFX in the emu. Try resolutions from with the emu. I am sorry I cannot help more, I know of the issues but as I aint had this issue I aint seen many results... maybe somone else has had this fixed? Simply Austin's YouTube

I'm running an i7 with 12gb ram and gfx760 and still have this issue with win7 64bt. No idea what is causing it. My main prob was Retroarch.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Yes, I think the way the module is used at the moment. With some setups its kind of emulating itself within itself. So high resoltion emulation just brings any computer to its knees. I think the new modules really need a good look at Simply Austin's YouTube
potts43 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Can't comment on the modules but it's frustrating when your PC is fairly modern
Lid Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 Not sure if the post I made recently will help with your problems but I am working through this issue and will update as I make progress. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/8618-bezel-performance/ Bubble Bobble Themed Arcade Project - http://bubbob.retro.me.uk/
ninja2bceen Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 There has to be something similar here guys. What emulator are you using? How many bezels are in ur folder? How are they named? What are the settings? Are you using rocket launchers beta version? Are you using hyperspi a beta version Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop
Lid Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 See my reply in the link I posted above. Mine was caused by using a Windows classic theme in Windows 7 instead of an Aero theme. Waiting to hear back from other users if this is the same issue they are experiencing. Bubble Bobble Themed Arcade Project - http://bubbob.retro.me.uk/

But if it worked for you that's awesome.
Lid Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I think it is actually the opposite. I could well be wrong as I remember doing something with this when Windows 7 first came out but I have a feeling Aero is rendered by the GPU and if you set it back to a classic theme it is rendered by the CPU. Not sure if that is right or not but I have also encountered a variety of problems in work when people have it disabled. Bubble Bobble Themed Arcade Project - http://bubbob.retro.me.uk/

It's just every single google result says to turn aero OFF to increase your pc performance. So turning it on seems like a weird strategy. I tried it myself and saw no difference either way unfortunately Wondering if it's my 4gb of ram, i5 cpu, or gt 730 that isn't cutting it. Or if it's just my settings. I can't get hyperspin to run and my resource manager to run at the same time to see how much hyperspin is taking up. Everytime i hit Cntrl-alt-del to go to the resource manager, hyperspin pauses.
ninja2bceen Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Maybe try ctrl shift esc or maybe it's ctrl shift ~ I forget which is the hotkey to get to task manager Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop
