demonseed Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Guys I tried fusion and my sega cd games load up fine. I setup hyperspin but the games do not show? I downloaded two sets of hyperspin 1 compatible games. To me the database is not working? I even tried my old setup of games that worked with old hyperspin but now they won't work? Any ideas? When I google it others had same issue on old forum... Can I access old forums too? How? Thanks Jim
nimpa Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Run dons hypertool to make you a new list... Do these mega cd contain bin/cue ?? Then choose only file extension in that program (cue) create list.. In hlhq add "cue" only in file extension.. Try Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
demonseed Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Hey Ok.. I got the list generator to list all the games and I can add them to a xml, however where do I set the CUE thing? It scans all the games says 171 of 171,.. I hit export and save xml.. however when I open the xml it only lists this <?xml version="1.0"?> <!--Generated by Don's HyperSpin Tools version 4.2.6--> -<menu> -<header> <listname>Sega CD</listname> <lastlistupdate>08/28/2012</lastlistupdate> <listversion>1.2 Final</listversion> <exporterversion>HyperList XML Exporter Version 1.3 Copywrite © 2009-2011 William Strong</exporterversion> </header> </menu>

demonseed Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Hey Ok I used the app Dons hyperlist generator and now it shows the games in the xml, however in HL it still is red? I renamed the file to sega cd in my database folder... not sure why I can not get them to show... they work fine in fusion when manually loaded. In HL it shoes the list in red, when I hit the blue triangle to compare it says I have 0 of 171. So the database is not seeing my roms. Retroarch/fusion are set to cue. Is it dameon tools?
nimpa Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 No deamon tool issue. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

nimpa Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 In hyperlaunchHQ.. In Sega Cd ... Add your emulator name, Path to the exe file, file extension (cue) if u have bin/cue files... And module.. (Fusion 3.64) Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
demonseed Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I did sega cd is XML name in database folder. Is there a walk through must be something I am doing wrong.
nimpa Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 ... Or use it as a global emulator... Just check global emulators.ini file... Search for fusion 3.64 and check if u have correct file path in those lines... Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
nimpa Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 So database folder name: Sega CD ... Database name: Sega CD .. Try Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

demonseed Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Hey Ok.. so I have checked. Hyperspin/Databases/Sega CD Emulator is under Emulators/Fusion/Fusion.ex Roms are Emulators/Fusion/roms. Roms are CUE and BIN from what I can see. Fusion is set to 7z|zip|sg|sc|gg|sms|gen|32x|md|cue|bin for extensions globally. No idea what the issue is..... Teamviewer? is there something I can post here to get help? I have tried the ROM RENAMER tool but when I open the OFFICAL SEGA CD database xml file it errors out saying no CRC located. I think it has to do with the actual naming of the roms.... just not sure how to change. When I look at the Sega CD.xml file,,, it has 3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA) Listed for the game, while in my rom folder it has 3 Ninjas Kick Back (1994)(Sony Imagesoft)(NTSC)(US)[CDAC-078200 2].... that would be why. I need to rename them all to match? not sue how to do it. I tried manually and then the ninja game showed green in Hyperlaunch but it still wont run, as I think renaming it manually doesn't work.

I tried manually and then the ninja game showed green in Hyperlaunch but it still wont run, as I think renaming it manually doesn't work. this is your problem your game names should match the XML 3 Ninjas Kick Back (1994)(Sony Imagesoft)(NTSC)(US)[CDAC-078200 2] this should be renamed to 3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA) if your games are 7z compressed, you only need to rename the 7z file --> 3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA).7z and enable 7z support. if your roms are not compressed, you ONLY need to rename the CUE, you should not rename your BIN file. if you rename the BIN file; the CUE file will be broken and will need to be updated. if you have your roms in sub folders, you will need to rename your sub folder to match the XML name. your final file should look like this 3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA)/ 3 Ninjas Kick Back (USA).CUE 3 Ninjas Kick Back (1994)(Sony Imagesoft)(NTSC)(US)[CDAC-078200 2] .BIN
demonseed Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 so all the cues need to be renamed... tu matcher renamed all bins but not cues... is there a app to do this?
dougan78 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 so all the cues need to be renamed... tu matcher renamed all bins but not cues... is there a app to do this? The cues need to be renamed yes. If you renamed the bins you will need to open each cue for each game with notepad or similar program. Then change all the file names in there to match how you named them. Good luck.
nimpa Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I thought a hyperspin ready set wasnt needed to change anything... Hehe! Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
