The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hi all,

Very new to setting up Hyperspin, but enjoying it thoroughly. Just struggling with rom extensions.

So i have currently setup 4 emulators within HyperLaunchHQ:

Project64 for Nintendo 64

ZSNES for Super Nintendo

RetroArch for Sega Genesis

FCEUX for Nintendo

I've downloaded all my fullset roms from emuparadise.me and all are compress/zipped

Super Nintendo works perfectly, apart from most file names not matching the .xml

Nintendo works, but asks to select a game version (i believe there are usually 4 or 5 individual files within each zipped rom file, but that works once selected) upon loading

Project64 loads individual zip files, but none of the .7z files from the fullset of roms

Sega Genesis is the same as Project64.

I've been watching many tutorials and trawled the internet for advice. I've tried changing the setting for 7z setting to True in HyperLaunchHQ, but that didnt work. Last i hear is that i should unzip every single .7z rom file, then re-compress to winzip file, which i havn't tried yet (at work on lunch break).

With Sega Genesis, i extracted all .7za rom files, creating 5 versions of each game into a .gen file. This worked, but now i have to re-name one of each file to match the .xml!! I looked in to Dons Hyperspin tools, but the video tutorial left me in a spin!

Does anyone have any advice? Anyone resolved a similar problem?

Sorry if my detail is shocking or my terminology is wrong. I'm pretty fresh to it all, but really want to get my own HyperSpin box setup! I don't want to download or buy pre configured hard drives. I'd rather learn how it all works.

Thanks so much guys.

For n64. I suggest unzip it.. Its like z64, n64 extension u have to add ... But i recommend download this >>>> hyperspin ready cartridge <<<< thats the name of it.. Contain 40+ consoles, only cartridges and its hyperspin ready.. Just download the databases from hyperlist for each one... How to find that package? Well search on google - hyperspin ready cartridge ... Bam !! :)
